Love it! But I did not make it as directed. Taste and texture is more along the lines of flour-less chocolate cake than brownies. Regardless, they are a mouthful of not-too-sweet, chocolatey, nutty goodness. Highly recommend you try it and tweak it to your liking. Here is how I modified it:
Doubled the cocoa powder to 1/2 cup.
Increased to 3/4 cup chocolate chips.
Added 1 1/2 cups of walnuts - just packed them in!
Used turbinado sugar instead of white sugar. (Not sure it makes a difference. Its just what I had!)
Used Nescafe for the instant coffee.
We enjoyed best served at a cool temperature with milk or coffee. Yummy!
