No-Fuss Meat Loaf

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2007
I made this for the 1st time with friends coming over, which always makes me nervous that it won't turn out. But this was great, everybody loved it. It was quick to make, I had everything mixed and ready to go before my oven was done preheating! I also put some slices of bread at the bottom to absorb the grease... worked great!

White Chili I

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2008
This recipe had more of a kick than I expected, but I liked it. I did use more of each seasoning, and added fresh garlic. Was surprisingly flavorful, and healthy too! Will make again!

Mexican Lasagna II

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2008
The flavor here was very good, but it seemed to be missing some substance. Maybe an extra layer of tortilla shells, or even some rice would of made it more filling. I will try again with some alterations, or at least with a side dish next time.

Salsa Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2008
This was excellent!!! I made it exactly to the recipe (minus the sour cream) and it was so easy and so tasty! And you don't have to buy a ton of ingredients. Loved it!

Delicious Raspberry Oatmeal Cookie Bars

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2008
I wasn't a big fan of these. Using a bit less of the jam would of helped, as the raspberry was a bit overwhelming. But I probably won't try these again.

Watergate Salad

I've had this before at pot lucks, and was excited when I came across the recipe to make it myself. I love this stuff!

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2008
This was good, and my guests complimented it, but also said that it wasn't the best apple pie that I've made. I used 6 big apples and the pie was overflowing. 8 would of been way too many, unless they were very small.

Lasagna Roll Ups

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2008
I loved this recipe. I didn't put them into rolls but made it the normal lasagna style, but the flavor is all that matters, and it was excellent!! My fiance decided he didn't like it before even trying it because of the tofu. But after I made him try it, he loved it as well! The tofu blends in with the ricotta cheese, so you don't even know your eating it. The left overs were great as it didn't seem to dry out much..or maybe that's because the left overs didn't last very long!! Will definately make again!!

Penne with Chicken and Asparagus

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2008
This recipe was good.... and was much enjoyed. I haven't made this exact recipe again, but have used it as inspiration to creating my own similar dishes, and experimented with different veggies, seasoning, and cheeses. I give 4 stars because the original recipe was very good, but didn't quite make it into my favorites.

Chicken Tikka Masala

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2008
I read all the other reviews and planned on reducing the salt in this recipe. However, the airhead that I am, started making this dish and continued to put the suggested amount of salt in. Big mistake... Way too salty! I must of drank a gallon of water in the hour following dinner. Otherwise, a good recipe. So don't be an airhead like me, and remember to cut the salt in half at the very least!!! I would suggest serving this with jasmine rice.

Bacon Wrapped Tater Tots

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2009
I am shocked that this recipe hasn't gotten better reviews. I made these for a New Years Eve party, and every single person who had them, loved them! And I continued to be asked to bring them to other parties, in which they gain even more fans. Sure, they are a little messy to make... but who doesn't love bacon, tater tots, and american cheese?!?! YUMMY!!!! If you find them too salty, then you may have to try a different bacon. Line the pan with aluminum foil to aid in clean up.

Melt in your Mouth Cookies I

Reviewed: May 14, 2009
I get big reviews when I make these. I sometimes substitute the vanilla extract with mint, strawberry, lemon, orange, and color the frosting to match the flavor. The result is cute little polka-dot cookies!

Mom's Favorite Baked Mac and Cheese

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2009
I followed the recipe exactly, other than using some mexican blend of shredded cheese instead of just cheddar. I didn't even notice the onion. This recipe is VERY good the first time around, but after two nights of leftovers, I might of over-dosed, cause now the thought of it makes me sick. It is very rich and very heavy. I would make again for a pot luck, otherwise, will only be a once in a great while dish in which I will only make a small portion so that I don't have the leftovers and don't OD again. I still give it 4 stars, cause like I said.. first time around, it was very good!

Cool Whipped Frosting

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2009
I reduced the amount of cool whip, and piped it into the center of cupcakes for a fun little surprise (with a little more of a pudding consistency). Then, I made it according to the recipe to frost the tops of the cupcakes. Frosting is going to be soft (no surprise) but it piped well and tasted great! I also used chocolate pudding for half of my cupcakes.

Cinnamon Rolls II

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2009
I couldn't believe how easy these were. And they turned out PERFECT!! I was actually worried cause mine didn't seem to be rising like I thought they should, but they still turned out just right. I even refridgerated half of them and made them a few days later... still... PERFECT! I did however, use more brown sugar than I did white.. other than that, followed the recipe. Too bad they aren't fat free, cause I could eat them every day!

Chicken Cordon Bleu II

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2009
This was one of those meals that make me wonder why anyone would ever go to a restaraunt! I was worried that the cheese would melt too much and drain out of the chicken, but it still turned out great! Definately a keeper!
