My husband and I at home in Alabama
About this Cook
I used to travel a lot, but now cooking is the main way that I can experience and learn new things about other cultures. It is fun to share these experiences with my husband, friends and family.
My favorite things to cook
Since I love my friends and family, I want meal that I share with them to be exciting and delicious, but also good for their bodies. Because of this, my favorite meals balance nutrition with good taste.
My cooking triumphs
My cooking triumph still lies ahead. I want to begin to mill my own grains and cook my own breads. This will be a big learning process for me since I have never been much of a baker.

Hot and Sour Chicken Soup
I make major changes to most recipes, but followed this one exactly. No changes needed! My husband and I both loved it.

Summer Nights Eggplants
My husband and I both love this recipe just as is! It is hearty and filling and almost tastes as if it were stuffed with crab. This also freezes decently well, making for good leftovers. Thanks for a terrific recipe!

Creamy Veggie Potato Stew
I thought that the recipe was good, but not great. I will say, though, I subbed the cream for two percent milk, and contrary to what the others said, I found it not to be creamy enough. I will try it again with whole milk and I think that will make a good difference.
