Thanksgiving Yams

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2000
I made these yams for Thanksgiving and they just about blew everyone away! Never had I taseted yams so delicious! The gingersnap cookies are the secret weapon that makes this dish kick! So different from traditional yam recipes, yet so deliciously new! I highly suggest you make these for your next holiday gathering. I recipe note though....instead of putting marshmallows in pot I transfer mixture to a baking dish, then add marshmallows and bake at 375 until mallows are melted and golden brown. Enjoy!

I made this as a side dish for Thanksgiving and it was an instant hit! So rich and filling if you eat too much you'll feel as if you're going to explode, yet you don't want to stop! The best green bean casserole recipe by far! Yum!

Cranberry, Sausage and Apple Stuffing

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2000
This tuffing goes very well with Maple Roast Turkey and Gravy recipe. A little complicated to make (you're gonna wanna do this one the day before or you'll surely be lagging behind) but well worth it. Measurements area little off. You are going to want to cut the leeks to 3 cups instaed of 6.....way too many leeks. I would go as far s saying that next to my dad's oyster stuffing, this is the best.

Maple Roast Turkey and Gravy

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2000
This is by far, the absolute best turkey recipe I have ever made! Everyone loved it for Thanksgiving! I used a little more maple syrup, but it didn't throw anything off. Gravy is to die for!!! The best I've ever had! I've never known a turkey to come out so juicy and perfect! Even stuffy friends who would've rathered "went out for Thanksgiving" (hey! we live in NYC, whadda ya want?) were thoroughly delighted and impressed! I highly suggest to anyone who plans on making a turkey for the holidays to make this! Bon Appeite!

This was delicious. We substituted Scrod instead. Worked just as well. Perfect for that chilly late fall/early winter evening!
