Peach Cobbler II

I loved the dough topping and the general flavor. My pie was very runny inside. It needs something to thicken up the inside.

Easy to make with a great taste. I actually only had one piece before I left for work, when I got home, it was gone. When I asked what kind of pie my husband wanted next week, he said another blueberry. I would call that a 5 star pie

Mini Cheesecakes I

Honey Chocolate Pie

I like the taste of this pie, that is where the stars come from. But the pie is too dense. It need something to fluff it up a bit. I struggled melting the chocolate chips since I don't have a double boiler which could have been part of the problem. Someone who is good a tweeking recipes needs to try this then let us all know what is missing. I will keep working on it.

Whipped Cream Cream Cheese Frosting

This is the best frosting I have ever had. I have made this several times just like the recipe said. I think the key is getting the whipping cream the right consistancy in the beginning. My husband requests this all the time. It tastes great on spice and butter cream cakes.

Honey Crunch Pecan Pie

The crust on this pie was great. I will keep it for future pies. The pecan topping was fabulous, I made extra just to snack on. But I made a fatal error for the filling, I didn't have corn syrup so I used maple syrup. Mistake. The texture was gross and the taste did not match the rest of the pie. My husband didn't seem to notice. I think my palate is more refined...he said just picky. I will try this again with the exact recipe...it probably is a 5 star

Zucchini Risotto

This recipe was too much work for such a bland taste. I am not yet convinced that zucchini can taste good in anything but bread. The best part was the sundried tomatoes

Roasted Red Pepper Cream Sauce

I felt it was lacking in something. Just a very weak flavor. I had high hopes for this recipe after reading the comments. I think I will try again with more garlic, red pepper and salt.

Fresh California Salsa

I had never made salsa before this recipe. I took advice from previous entries and added black beans, corn, sugar,cumin and white wine vinegar. It had a good taste, tangy. I might not add the black beans next time.

Sweet Potato Balls

I liked the flavor of this, but the ball of potato look did not go over well in this house. The corn flakes were a nice touch for the first serving but these do NOT reheat well at all.

Hash Brown Casserole III

I didn't really like this. My biggest problem was the instructions. The microwaving part was confusing. The house got too hot and it seemed like it took alot longer to cook than the recipe said. There was alot leftover at the end of the week when I went to clean out the fridge.

This was a good dip. We put it on burgers the next day. I let it sit 24 hours before serving as suggested and that seemed to be perfect.

Ultimate Side Dish

this was an interesting version of green bean casserole I am used to. I liked the cream of celery, it had a good flavor but slightly dull. I usually use cream of mushroom and the taste can be overpowering. So maybe mixing the two would be perfect. The stuffing was something I had never tried, I liked that. The part I didn't like was the canned potatoes, they just had a gross texture. I think I might try this again using half cream of celery and half cream of mushroom, with boiled potatoes.

Grain and Nut Whole Wheat Pancakes

These were great, taste like something from an upscale restaurant. I tried this with walnuts and pecans. The walnuts were better. Also added flax seed. The batter is thick. I would make the pancakes small, easier to turn and they are cooked through. The bigger cakes were doughy in the middle.

Easy Pea Salad

This is awesome. I accidently hit the print button during a recipe finding marathon. I had all the parts and decided why not. It took 5 minutes to make tops. This is now a weekly must have. I think the yellow or white onions have a better flavor than the red. I also use shredded cheddar but only for the texture.
