Broiled Tilapia Parmesan

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2011
This recipe is fantastic, I too read the reviews first and went with the lower fat content I used becel light and light mayo, I also sprinkled in a few bread crumbs because I thought maybe it would melt on hot fish before broiling but I think either way would be good, I also added garlic & onion powder for more flavour, after I mixed it up I was was a little skeptical it really didn't look that good in the bowl but boy was I wrong, absolutel delicious

Mediterranean Quinoa Salad

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2011
For me this was a great starting point for what I wanted and it turned out great, I basically made a greek salad and the rest of these ingredients to make a fantastic salad, I cooked the quinoa in chicken broth and crushed the garlic and left it in the salad after it was done, I didn't use the fresh herbs or the chicken, I wanted to have the chicken on the side and next time I will cut back on the fresh lemon it was a little too much I guess because it's fresh, this is a great salad, thanks for sharing it...

Curried Quinoa

this was really good, I too added chicken to it to make it a meal, I did find it a bit dry so I just added a little more chicken broth after I put it all together....

Crostini D'Emily

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2011
These are fantastic, I don't spread each piece of bread though, I melt the butter then add the garlic and olive oil then spread them with a pastry brush and sprinkle them with parsley (they just look better) I make 3-4 baguettes at a time and freeze what I don't use and they freeze very well, I serve them with costco's bruschetta, yum....

Prime Rib Au Jus with Yorkshire Pudding

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2010
OMG this was one of the best roasts I have made besides the foolproof rib roast recipe on this site, the only thing I didn't do is put the garlic in the roast because I don't like that much garlic in my meat, I will never make a roast any other way, thanks for the great recipe

Lemon Garlic Tilapia

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2010
I wanted to start making healthier dinner choices so I went out to buy Tilapia to make this recipe and it was fantastic, it was fresh tasting since you use fresh lemon and don't use the bottled lemon juice it doesn't compare, my whole family loved it and I will be making this all the time, thanks for the great recipe

Glazed Ham

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2009
OMG, I have never made a ham before in all my years of cooking because I don't really like it but I have to say this was the best ham I have ever had, I wanted to cook this for as long as the recipe stated but I didn't have the time so I cooked it for 4 hours the day before Christmas, I removed the glaze from the panand refrigerated it until Christmas day, I sliced it up and put it in a roasting pan with some of the glaze covered it and heated it up while we carved the turkey and everyone raved about how good it was. I love ham now and this will be the only recipe that I will use, thank you

Creamy PHILLY Maple Bread Pudding

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2009
Well I made this for Christmas dinner with the changes that Amy suggested and it was great, I doubled the recipe and used cinnamon raisin bread and 6 apples that I chopped small rather than sliced and when frying in the butter I added quite a bit of cinnamon and a little nutmeg and I also added about 6 tbsp brown sugar and added more vanilla, I made the Whipped Maple Philly Dip to top it with and this was a great dessert however I don't think I would make this again for Christmas dinner because with dressing it's just too much bread but I would make it for another dinner party.

Awesome Apple Martinis

Another alternative is to mix the sour apple (sourpuss), regular vodka and limeade all equal parts shake-up and rim your glass with cinnamon & sugar (mixed together) and it adds a bit of apple pie flavour.

Best Ever Banana Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2008
DO NOT LISTEN TO OTHER REVIEWERS AND CHANGE THE RECIPE, THIS IS THE BEST BANANA BREAD RECIPE, AT LEAST TRY IT FIRST BEFORE CHANGING IT BECAUSE YOU WON'T MAKE ANY CHANGES TO IT IF YOU TRY IT FIRST, IT AGGRAVATES ME THAT PEOPLE CHANGE IT ALL AND THEN REVIEW IT, PUT YOUR OWN RECIPES ON HERE THEN IF YOU'RE GOING TO CHANGE SOMEONE ELSE'SBEFORE EVEN TRYING IT FIRST, GRANTED THERE HAVE BEEN SOME THAT I WOULD CHANGE BUT I TRY THEM FIRST AS WRITTEN. IN SAYING THAT, THE ONLY THING WITH THIS RECIPE IS IF YOU DON'T HAVE BUTTERMILK THEN MAKE YOUR OWN, PUT 1 TBSP LEMON JUICE INTO A MEASURING CUP AND FILL UP WITH MILK TO MEASURE 1 CUP AND LET STAND FOR 5 MINUTES, IN FACT I DON'T BUY BUTTERMILK I USE THIS EVERY TIME BECAUSE I NEVER HAVE IT ON HAND. ONE MORE THING IS THAT I PUT A SUGAR TOPPING ON TOP THAT ANOTHER REVIEWER SUGGESTED AND IT MAKES IT THAT MUCH BETTER IT IS 2 TBSP CHOPPED PECANS 2 TBSP SUGAR AND 1/2 TSP CINNAMON AND A DASH OF NUTMEG, COMBINE AND PRESS ONTOP OF UNCOOKEDE LOAF THEN BAKE AS RECIPE STATES. I MAKE 4 LOAVES AT A TIME THAT DON'T LAST LONG AND IT IS ABSOLUTELY THE BEST BANANA BREAD EVER!!!

Buttermilk-Battered Calamari

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2007
This recipe is very good however for best results soak the squid in 2 cups of buttermilk for 2 hours, it makes it very tender then drain in a colander, dump all of the squid into flour mixture but up the amount of flour to 2 cups and toss with your hands and then deep fry, I also don't add the oregano, don't really know why but I like it without.

Sugar Coated Pecans

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2006
These pecans are so good! I made 1 batch and took them to work and everyone wanted the recipe. I did the same as others, I used half white and half brown sugar, used vanilla instead of water and 1 tsp cinnamon and I also did the ziploc bag idea, I put the pecans in the ziploc bag and put the egg white mixture in and mixed it up then put the sugar mixture in the same bag mixed them up and spread them out on a parchment lined cookie sheet, yummy, I will be making another batch this week for a Christmas party. Thank you for this recipe

Chicken Enchilada Dip

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2006
This dip is fantastic, I make it all the time and everyone devours it and I always double the recipe. I to go with half mayo and half sour cream, when cooking the chicken I add taco seasoning and sometimes add a little salsa, I serve it with tostitos hint of lime chips and it is great. I got the recipe from my sister-in law and have given the recipe to so many people. thanks
