Banana Crumb Muffins

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2008
This was easy to make and delicious to eat. I used 2 bananas and 4 tbsp of unsweetened apple sauce. I was able to make 12 good size muffins. I used an ice cream scoop to scoop out 11 muffins, and used a spatula to scrape the sides of the bowl for the last muffin. I filled them 3/4 full. I also added the crumbs by the tsp full about 10 min into baking.

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2008
I made this for the first time during Christmas, and it was a huge hit! It's now a go to recipe for chocolate chip cookies. I've maded it as per the direction stated. I use a cookie scoop instead of making 1/4 cup cookies. Just bake it for less time. I've also adapted this for gluten free cooking: replace the flour with 2 cups rice flour mix and add 2 tsp xanthan gum.

this is the easiest pie crust to make ever! It's so simple. I doubled the recipe to make Apple Pie by Grandma Ople.

Shortbread Cookies II

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2008
These were so easy to make and tasted similar to girl scout shortbread cookies! I dont have a cookie press, so I rolled it into a log and put it in the fridge for about an hr and so. I couldnt wait to bake them so i took them out around an hr later. I sliced them at about half inch thickness each and shaped them into circles. Baked for about 11 min.

Chewy Coconut Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2008
I made these for my family, and they were gone in a day. I used sweetened coconut. I used approximately 1 less tablespoon of sugar than the recipe called for because some of the reviews were saying it was too sweet. It was perfect. I scooped them with a cookie scoop about the size of a tablespoon and baked for 13-15 min.

Soft Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2008
I made these for my family, and they love it. I did use 1/2 cup less white sugar, and added raisins. Oatmeal raisin is my favorite, and I don't have to buy store bought anymore.

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2008
this was such an easy pie to make. I made 2 pies, one with a box crust and one with "Butter Flaky Crust". I didnt have granny smith apples, so I used 4 fuji apples instead. my family liked it better because it was less tart.

Outrageous Chocolate Chip Cookies

they're a bit sweet, but its is the perfect combination of ingredients. I only eyeballed the peanut butter, I may have added a bit extra.

Shortbread Meltaways

Very light and crumbly. Very good. I can sort of taste the cornstarch though. I made cookies with the cookie scoop and baked for 15 min. My family enjoyed it.

Peanut Butter Cup Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2008
I made this for my family and coworkers, and it was very good. Some stated it was a bit sweet, so I'll probably add less sugar next time. You definately need a glass of cold milk to wash it down. My peanut butter loving aunt ate 3 in one sitting!

Cake Mixes from Scratch and Variations

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2008
I made the pineapple upside down cake. It came out moist and fluffy. I replaced the shortening with 3/4 cup applesauce. I initially added 1/2 cup applesauce, but the flour didnt crumble like the recipe stated, so I upped it to 3/4 cup.

Fudgy Brownies I

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2009
I can't give it 5 stars because I made revisions to it. I added 1 cup each of semi sweet chips and chopped walnuts and 1 Tbsp. of espresso powder. It made it an extraordinary brownie.

Graham Cracker Crust

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2008
I made these with keebler graham crackers. 1 bag made exactly 1 1/2 cups crumbs. It was a little too sweet to my liking. I'll probably not add the sugar next time. It also was really hard to cut in the end.

Banana Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2008
This bread did not set at all. I baked it for almost 3 hours and it was still mushy. It only gets 1 star because it smelled good while it was baking. It was hard as a rock after it cooled!

Best Ever Chocolate Cutout Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2008
I was very disappointed with this recipe. I followed the directions to the T, put it in the fridge for 2 hours, and it came out as hard as a rock. I wasn't able to roll it out at all. When it did soften up a little, it was crumbly and didn't stay together. This was a total waste of time and ingredients.
