Holiday cooking and going crazy are not synonymous Part II

The activities of the season have kept me away from the interent. I've decided I don't have much to add to my previous blog about holiday cooking. I'll try and have a better plan next winter holiday season.

I'm hoping to post more recipes in the new year. The ones I talked about in my last blog aren't ready for publication. They need some tweaking.

I've take the presure off of myself because I'm hosting family dinners on the 25th AND the 26, with helping my sister-in-law. I've trimmed each menu in half. I've asked attendees to bring specific items to help out. I've got games planned so we aren't just eating all day.

God bless everyone. May your holidays be bright and happy. CJ

Smart lady! We share the holidays so this year we go to my SIL for Christmas and I host Christmas Eve. I've been cooking and freezing what I can. Wishing you all a Merry Christmas!

Now I think BSM is giving some good advice.... That's what I do... I start cooking 2 - 3 weeks ahead of time and freeze. Hope you have the Happiest of Holidays!!!!!!!

About Me
I love to develop new recipes. I have had 15 recipes published by Reiman publications, publishers of TASTE OF HOME magazine. I like to try at least one new recipe a week. My other interests that aren't listed above are running and horse racing. By profession I am a registered medical technologist currently working in microbiology at a local medical center.
My favorite things to cook
Soups. Main dishes for interesting evening meals. Simple baking like cookie jar cookies and quick breads.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I basically make Thanksgiving dinner like my mom did.
My cooking triumphs
Winning a runner up prize for my lasagne recipe when I worked for the Nestle corporation. (I was a part time R&D assistant for the Willy Wonka Candy Factory)
My cooking tragedies
Trying to make sweet and sour shrimp with deep fried shrimp. Coating came off the shrimp when I put the sauce on. My familiy refused to eat it. We were short of money then and it hurt to waste the food and then go get MacDonald's for dinner.
