The weather is finally getting warmer in my area of the country. I continue to use my slow cooker through the summer to keep my kitchen cooler and still have a satisfying dinner.

This yeast bread fixes up in a snap. It also slices well and freezes well. It is especially good for toast in the morning. Make it first for hot bread with dinner and keep the rest in the refrigerator or freezer for future meals.
NO KNEAD WHOLE WHEAT BREAD
3 cups flour
2 cups warm water

1lb. 1.5oz pouch of sugar cookie mix, prepared as directed
Before baking add 2 teaspoons orange extract, grated peel of one orange, 1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom and 1 cup dried cranberries. Bake according to package directions. Makes about 3 dozen. YUM!
