Banana Sour Cream Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2007
Perfect Banana Bread! I printed this recipe out near the end of July, and have now made this bread at least six times and it is delicious every time! I follow the recipe as is. Very easy to make. The batter yields enough for 2 regular sized loaves + 2 to 4 muffins. I bake at 325 deg. for about an hour. My family loves this recipe!

Corn Pudding V

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2007
Delicious! I wanted to make enough for a 13x9 pan so I used 2 cans each of the kernel corn and creamed corn, but kept the other ingredient amounts the same - 1/2 c. of butter not margarine, 1 c. sour cream, and one box of corn muffin mix. This was super easy to make and every single one of my dinner guests loved it! Will definitely make this again!

Yummy Sweet Potato Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2006
Delicious! Baked 6 medium-sized unpeeled sweet potatoes in 325degree oven for 2 to 2 1/2 hours instead of boiling. cooled them for about 15 min. and then cut them in half and they practically peeled themselves. I also used 1 tea. vanilla & 1 tea. cinnamon because I really like the aroma and taste of these two ingredients. I didn't use any flour, and I topped with marshmallows instead of using pecans (family quirk). They were creamy, sweet, delicious, GONE!!!

Cream of Broccoli Soup I

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2006
My family absolutely loved this recipe! I did make some changes. I used way more than 4 cups of broccoli, I had brought 3 big bunches (almost 4 lbs.) and used all of it, also I kind of lost track of time and cooked it longer which was fine for us since we prefer our broccoli softer vs. crunchy. Cooked it in a big 6qt pot but still used 4 cups of broth. I also used vegetable broth instead of water, 1/2&1/2 instead of milk, and added a finely chopped garlic clove and 2 finely chopped carrots with the onion and celery. I had to use some of the liquid to puree the broccoli, so I thought it was going to end up too thick and I would need more liquid at the end, but it was actually an excellent creamy consistency. Thank you for such an excellent recipe and for the extra ideas in the many detailed reviews! I will be making this soup over and over and over!!!

Plum Blueberry Upside Down Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2006
I made this recipe because I had alot of plums that I didn't know what to do with. The result was fabulous! I didn't use blueberries, just plums. I was nervous at first beacause I used countrycrock insted of margarine and I mixed the batter really well not realizing the recipe said mix just until incorporated. Even with that my family thought it was the prettiest cake I've ever made...and it tasted even better than it looked! Thanks for sharing this recipe!
