Raspberry Cup Cakes

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2009
So easy and they turned out really good! We couldn't get raspberries here, so I used raspberry jam instead. I also used liquid whip cream instead of frozen whipped cream. I was not sure about the cream cheese measurement, was it 1/2 of 8 oz packet or 8 oz is the 1/2 packet? I used 8 oz (1 bar) cream cheese for a batch - made 2 batches of this for my first try btw! I'm definitely making these again!

Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars IV

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2008
Used only 1 1/2 cup sugar but still sweet for me. Next time, need to use at least castor sugar, since normal table granulated sugar is too big.

Bread Pudding II

Reviewed: May 13, 2008
Really good. Bain-marie baking gives me a lovely custard texture and I loved it! I baked two batches in one day just because it was so simple and so tasty at the same time.

Gourmet Chicken Sandwich

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2006
Basically, I made a coleslaw-like salad using mustard+mayo+olive oil+honey+carrot+cabbage, and used plain bread, toasted with mozarella cheese and dried rosemary on top. Even the chicken breasts, I marinated about 15 minutes with black pepper, a pinch of salt, oregano, and rosemary. Ok, so I altered the whole recipe. Sorry. :p Was good, though! My friends and I liked the coleslaw-salad-spread. Thanx for the recipe!

White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookies IV

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2006
Since I couldn't find any cheap macadamias, I subbed them with cashewnuts and groundnuts. A friend said the groundnuts drown out the other tastes, so maybe I should've used 'softer' nuts, like walnuts. Also, they turned out flat, so maybe I should omit the baking soda? They turned out ok, but they tasted much like ordinary cookies to me.

Gramma's Date Squares

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2006
I haven't try this recipe yet, but I have a recipe almost exactly like this, also from my grandmother! It's really interesting to see a similar recipe. The recipe from my grandmother is more plain, with no spices. And, we use ghee, instead of butter. There would be a good taste of salt in the oat layer, so that it balances the sweetness from the dates layer. The ladies in my family have been making these for years, and everyone loves them!

Polvorones de Canele (Cinnamon Cookies)

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2006
Very easy to make. The taste is also light and yummy, and the fact that I love cinnamon is a big factor. I used only about 2 tbsp sugar + 1 tsp cinnamon for the topping, and I still have just a bit left.

Gingerbread Boys

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2006
This was my first gingerbreadman to bake and even eat! The recipe was simple and the cookies turn out great! Only a bit too sweet for me. Thanks for the recipe.
