Sunday Best Fruit Salad

I guess the pie filling makes this fruit salad so great. I've made this fruit salad twice and both times its been a big hit. Now everyone expects me to bring it during holidays. The funny thing is that I've never even tasted it because I'm not into peaches. But I will keep making it.

Honey Glazed Ham

This ham was great. I used a Smithfield spiral ham and ground cloves instead of whole ones. And I took the advice from everyone else and used brown sugar instead of corn syrup. I will definitely make this again for our next occasion.

Cheesy Ranch Potato Bake

This recipe was great. I made a few additions but the basic concept is good. While the potatoes were in the oven, I cooked some bacon and then fried some onions in the bacon grease. I mixed the dressing and cheese into the potatoes and then topped it with the crumbled bacon and fried onions. I also added some diced jalapenos(jar) to the top because we're a spicy family. It was great.

Coconut Shrimp I

Really good recipe. I seasoned the shrimp first before the coating and I didn't have any eggs so I left it out the recipe and it still came out great.

Grilled Bacon Jalapeno Wraps

Great recipe. It doesn't need anything extra. I added some cheddar cheese to half of my peppers and left the other half exactly as the recipe is written and they were equally great. This was easy. I was a little worried because my husband is a little "wimpy" when it comes to spice, so I took out all of the seeds. But it was very mild so the next time I'll leave more of the membranes and seeds for more heat.

Bacon and Tomato Cups

These were really good. Everybody loved them. I will definitely make again. Make sure to use crossants instead of biscuits. It makes it more buttery and flaky.

Hamburger Stew

I really enjoyed this recipe. I added a can of sweet peas because I love sweet peas and to give it some color. I also added some accent seasoning and garlic powder, because it was a little bland without it. After I browned the ground beef, I took it out of the pot and then I carmelized the onions by themself, then I put the beef back in and added everything else. I also added a can of diced tomatoes with chilies and a tbsp of tomato paste to thicken it a bit. It was really good. I will definitely make again.

Oven Fried Chicken IV

I loved the coating on the chicken. I listened to the other reviewers and mixed my seasonings in with the sour cream instead of the cornflakes. I omitted the rosemary and sage as well and I used a couple other spices. I ended up using drumsticks and having to cook them longer than 1 hour because they weren't as tender as I like them. But overall it was a great recipe. Next time I'll take the skin off of the chicken because I didn't this time. My boyfriend loved it though.

Hot German Potato Salad III

I loved the potato salad. I omitted the celery seed because I didn't have any but other than that it was really good. I added a lit more sugar to cut the tartness of the vinegar a little. My boyfriend loved it. Will definitely make again.

Trinidad Stewed Chicken

This recipe was great. It was simple and not that many ingredients. I added more coconut milk and substitued chicken broth for the water to add more flavor. My boyfriend loves gravy so I wanted to make more than the recipe called for.
