Shrimp and Asparagus

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2009
I haven't actually made this yet, but a friend of ours had us over for dinner and made it, and it was absolutely fabulous! I'm really looking forward to making this on my own, it was the best shrimp with pasta I've ever had!

Hearty Ranch and Bacon Potato Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2008
Tastes great! I accidentally burned my bacon though, so the soup ended up being a gross brownish color. Also, I had to add some mashed potato flakes to thicken it up. Pretty tasty, though!

Corn Dogs

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2008
Much better than the frozen ones! A little time consuming and not very good for you though, so this will probably be more of a treat than a regular meal.

Cream Cheese Squares

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2008
I just put it in the oven, but I'm sure it's delicious since a friend of mine brings it to all the parties. She calls hers "sopapilla cheesecake" though, although she admits it's nothing like a sopapilla. Anyway, I just wanted to say that I used reduced-fat store brand crescent rolls, and they were hard to work with. The seams don't stay together at ALL. I don't know if it was because of the reduced fat or the not-name-brand, but I would just recommend using Pillbury or something, just to make sure it's easier to make.

Fish in Foil

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2008
This is the only fish I've ever enjoyed that wasn't catfish that my dad deep fried. The jalapenos weren't spicy to me at all though, so I was a little disappointed about that. I used tilapia, it was great!

Roasted Garlic Cauliflower

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2008
I went looking at the last minute for something to do with my cauliflower other than steam it or drown it in cheese, and this was a winner. I doubt it had much impact on the flavoring, but to save myself time I prepared it in advance. I broke up the cauliflower and put it directly into the baking dish, then mixed the garlic and olive oil together and poured it on top, mixed it up, covered it in foil, and stuck it in the fridge until I was ready to bake it. I baked it at 350 for an hour because it was in there with the chicken and it came out too soft, but next time I will follow the directions to see if it's a little more firm.

Bob's Stuffed Mushrooms

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2008
These are the best stuffed mushrooms I've ever had! I'd probably half the Italian seasoning next time though, or use plain bread crumbs.

White Cheese Chicken Lasagna

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2008
I have to admit, this was delicious. However, I probably won't make it very often because unless you already happen to have cooked chicken on hand, it's pretty time consuming. I used fresh spinach (frozen spinach tastes funny to me) that I cooked in a little olive oil. It took about two hours just to get the entire thing prepared and into the oven! I would definitely make this if I was having over guests that I would like to impress, though!

Banana Muffins II

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2008
AWESOME. Just added some cinnamon. These would be easy to add experiment with, by adding different nuts or chocolate chips and the like. We frosted ours with peanut butter. Absolutely delicious!

Polish Style Lasagna

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2008
Admittedly, I didn't follow the recipe. I thought it looked kind of plain, so I made my own mashed potatoes, caramelized some onions, and stuffed some manicotti with it. It wasn't very good as main dish that way because that's just WAY too much mashed potato for one sitting, so next time I will stuff jumbo shells instead to make more manageable portions and serve it as a side dish.

Grilled Sausage with Potatoes and Green Beans

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2008
Love it! I've made it three times now, and it hasn't tasted the same yet because I keep trying different seasonings. I also add corn on the cob, and I only take the foil off for a few minutes because I think the sausage stays juicier if you leave it on. Great recipe, thanks for posting!

Firecracker Fried Chicken Drumsticks

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2008
I couldn't remember it exactly and didn't have access to it, so what I did was marinate them in Frank's hot sauce for about 30 minutes, coated them in flour and deep fried them, then dipped them in wing sauce. It was the most delicious chicken I've ever had! I'd make it again, but it was too spicy for the boyfriend. Maybe some wimpy ones for him will do the trick!

Garlic Broccoli

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2008
This was good, and I truly wanted to eat it, but the garlic was just too strong for me. I was actually nervous because of the smell, but the flavor of the vinegar, garlic, and dijon is actually pretty tasty. I plan on making it again, but with much less garlic.

Onion Bread I

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2008
This was great bread, even though I did some things wrong. I don't have a bread pan, so I used muffin pans. I halved the recipe, which gave me 15 rolls. I still used an entire packet of onion soup mix because I wasn't paying attention. Despite all this, the rolls were delicious, and I really want to get a bread pan and follow the directions properly because I'm sure it'd be even better!

Simple Beef Stroganoff

It's good for what it is. I added green bell peppers, onion, mushrooms and Worcestershire sauce. I think it would've been pretty plain otherwise.

Creamy Cajun Shrimp Pasta

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2008
This stuff was pretty awesome. I was nervous at first that it would taste floury, and I wasn't thrilled about it when I tasted it alone, but once it was tossed with the pasta and shrimp, I was very pleased! I will make this again.

Hidden Secret Burgers

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2008
I didn't actually use this recipe, I just used the idea to put cheese and chopped jalepenos into the center as suggested here. It was pretty tasty, but my cheese went away. It wasn't in the burger, or the pan. Where'd my cheese go?!

Butter-Dipped Biscuit Squares

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2007
Very good! I was just in the mood to bake something, but didn't have any eggs, and this was perfect. I know it says not to replace the butter, but all I had was margarine. :( They still came out well, I can only imagine how fantastic they would be with butter!

Cheryl's Spinach Cheesy Pasta Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2007
I used frozen spinach because they were out of fresh spinach, and I didn't really like the flavor of it. Everybody else, however, loved it! Next time, I will make it with fresh spinach, and I'm sure I'll like it better that way.
