Curried Chicken and Rice Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2008
I thought that the finished product of this was awesome, but being a add-it-yourself type of girl I had a few of my own touches I threw in 1) cayenne as previous members had said, to give it a tad of heat 2) I added frozen green peas, really just to get rid of the rest of the bag 3) I chunked in some flax seeds for more CRUNCH 4) Tossed in some coriander seeds for that delicious flavour & 5)I switched out quinoa instead of rice for the added nutrition

Waldorf Tuna Salad

Reviewed: May 16, 2007
I thought this was delicious, and so did my boyfriend (who didn't believe me when I said people put apple in tuna). I didn't have plain yogurt so thought I would chance it with 2/3 vanilla yogurt. Surprisingly didn't clash

Carne Con Chilies

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2008
I found this to be a very good recipe but the previous chile con carne that I have had was RED and left your nose dripping with every bite (I know, ew)... So I added about6-7 more red chiles and an extra jalapeno, not seeded, and a chipotle pepper. Excellent recipe.

Fabulous Fried Cabbage

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2008
Right now this is the best that I can give this recipe because I wasn't able to try it as suggested; I didn't realize I was out of veggie chicken broth until after I had started making it so I had to opt for beef instead, but this one is REALLY good! I hope to be able to try it again with the given ingredients and then up it to a five-star.

Maple Dill Carrots

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2008
Oh my, for having a super sweet tooth today this was just what the doctor ordered... I wasn't expecting them to taste this good (not saying the recipe didn't look good, I just wanted to try out my new veggie steamer) but they were AMAZING! Kudos for this one.

Quick and Easy 20-Minute Chicken Posole

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2007
I'll be honest, I haven't made this yet, but from my experience with posole it actually looks really good. But don't forget all of the great stuff to pile on top at the table, like lime juice, cabbage, and crispy corn tortilla strips. Will try this out next though...

Frank's Famous Spaghetti Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2007
I love this spaghetti sauce and have used it time and time again. The only thing I do different is add a yellow squash and crushed red pepper because my boyfriend likes spicy food

Greek Chicken Pasta

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2007
This is the first thing in years I have made which I can honestly say that I did not like at all. I tried some of the suggestions and added some of the marinade from the artichokes and zested it up a little, and it just smelled awful while it was cooking! It tasted better than it smelled, but that's not exactly the picker upper that most people think it would be.

Addictive Sweet Potato Burritos

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2007
When I made these I didn't tell my boyfriend what was in them for fear he would think they were too "weird". After sampling he said they were great and he was surprised but the ingredients. To tell you the truth I was surprised by how good it was as well.
