Death By Chocolate II

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2010
Another keeper. Serves a big crowd. 6 adults & 4 kids hardly put a dent in it! Easy to make - add your own favorites. I thought I was in trouble when I saw that I had purchased INSTANT pudding by mistake, but it turned out great! Such an attractive dish!

The Hudsucker Pasta

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2010
This was easy to make and turned out fabulous! I made it for company and everyone raved. I'm just a run of the mill cook, so this was fun to try, easy to make and soooo yummy! Recipe says it yields 4 servings, but they were BIG servings. Give it a try - you won't be sorry!

Summer Zucchini Casserole

Very good, very tasty. I use it as a main dish and I was really surprised how filling and delicious it is because I'm a beef & pasta lover! Even the picky husband likes this for dinner.

Irresistible Irish Soda Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2008
For 3/17 I tried a neighbor's recipe for Irish soda bread and it was great - but I thought that buttermilk might give the bread a better taste. My next mistake was not using a loaf pan, as directed. I used a shallow tin, as I did last time, but apparently the buttermilk causes the bread to rise and it spilled all over the oven. I rescued it as best I could, and it came out tasty, but somewhat crumbly. Probably due to the interruption in baking when i had to clean out the oven. So if you try it, use a deep pan!

Grandma's Gingersnap Cookies

These were excellent cookies - and so easy to make. They were everyone's favorite out of all the holiday cookies. Soft and chewy and full of flavor. Even the men asked for more!

Prime Rib

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2007
Don't know where I went wrong! I read all the reviews. Put my 5 lb roast in the oven at 500 for 25 minutes then let sit for 90 min or so. Came out cooked about 1" into the meat and the rest was absolutely raw. Then baked at 350 for 45 min hoping to save this $55 roast - but no luck. I'd never try this method again!

Bread Pudding II

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2006
I used to think 'bread pudding - yuk' till I made this for family members. Very easy - very good! I didn't count the bread slices, just overfilled a round ceramic dish and followed the rest of the recipe. It looked SO nice I sent in a picture! Give it a try! Smells great cooking too!
