About this Cook
I am a busy Mom of three boys: 14 yrs old, 5 yrs old & 2 yrs old. Unfortunatly 2 of them are very picky eaters. My husband and the little one will eat anything you put in front of them. I love baking, gardening and vacationing with my family at the desert with our sand toys. I have about 20 rose bushes and over 10 plumeria's I love watching my flowers bloom!
My favorite things to cook
I love baking although I have some picky eaters they all love sweets. I am always searching this site for new recipes from cakes, cookies and pies. Also new dinner ideas. At family gatherings I love bringing the desert. It is such a nice feeling to see everyone enjoy something that I made.
My cooking triumphs
I learned how to make pozole and champurrado. Two things that I learned to make from my Grandmother. Next is tamales.

Snickerdoodles III
These came out great but, after reading other reviews about the cookies being dry & hard the next day- I looked at the butter to flour ratio and increased the butter to 1 cup total (that's what my chocolate chip cookie recipes call for) anyways the end result was so good & chewy even the next day. I didn't have cream of tartar don't know how that would improve it any. These were a hit with everyone. Will make again. Thanks.

Gramma's Apple Bread Pudding
I must of done something wrong. I couldn't decide if it was under cooked or if the consistancy was suppose to be like that (mushy soggy bread). The vanilla sauce was a buttery mess. I didn't even serve any to my family.

Fresh Rhubarb Pie
I have never had rhubarb before and I wanted to make one for my grandpa since it is his favorite pie. I searched very carefully and I am so glad I chose this recipe. He loved it and he is a tough critic. I used my own pie crust from this site and even to me (never tasting rhubarb before) this pie was surprisingly good & so easy to make.
