About this Cook
I am married, one child, one dog and many, many girlfriends!! My husband is the best in the world and he loves to eat what I cook; so does my son-he says I'm the best cook. My son's favorite meal is Sopa de fideos and he loves Sushi too but I can't make that, yet. My dog's favorite meal is potato and egg taco. My girlfriends and I endulge in Chocolate, coffee and all kinds of desserts.
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake desserts!!! I also enjoy making salads, all types. I make pretty good Mexican rice and Enchiladas Suizas.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Making tamales at Christmas. Making and eating posole and bunuelos on New Years's Eve...and of course, my absolute favorite is Turkey dinner for Thanksgiving. My mom makes the best broccoli rice casserole!
My cooking triumphs
I recently attempted a recipe from my new cook book called "Semi-homemade cooking," for a layer cake. The top layers were composed of butter cupcakes. It looked and tasted divine.
My cooking tragedies
I made pasta primavera one day and I wanted to experiment with capers...gross! I love capers for sauses and such but not for this particular dish. I ruined it by adding way too many capers and red sauce.:-(
