I should have not used Splenda with this recipe. Repeat: Do Not Use Splenda. You'll end up with something akin to rubber. Will make again and follow the recipe to the letter.

Absolutely Delicious Green Bean Casserole from Scratch

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2012
Substituted fresh green beans, skipped lemon zest and parsley, added a couple of cloves of garlic. Scrumptious!

Cabbage Sloppy Joes

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2012
Surprisingly good! I was skeptical about the cabbage, but it blends right in. I didn't have lemon juice or Worcestershire sauce, so I omitted those. I added some onion powder and chopped garlic to compensate. Great way to use cheap, healthy veggies to stretch expensive, fatty beef!

Cake Mix Cookies IV

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2008
so good and so easy. i threw 5 squares of baker's chocolate and about a half a cup of almonds into the food processor and added them to yellow cake mix, along with about 3/4 cup of oatmeal. i accidentally added another egg, and then had to splash a little water in to mix the dry ingredients. these came out AWESOME, and with so little effort. thanks for the great recipe!

Gingerbread Men

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2007
Yummy. I used vanilla pudding instead of butterscotch (it's all i had!) and added 1/8 t allspice and 1/4 t nutmeg. added the pudding mix dry and creamed butter and sugar with it - the mix starts a little dry and crumby, but once you squish it all together it feels more like a cookie dough. the dough was a little hard to work with right out of the fridge, but got easier as it warmed up. these are a lot less gingerbready than 'real' gingerbread cookies, but are super yummy in their own right.

Cranberry Sauce I

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2007
Yum yum yum! I followed the recommendation to use 1/2 brown sugar and 1/2 white sugar. Came out perfect! Though cook time ended up taking more like 30 minutes.

Grandma's Green Bean Casserole

I didn't really care for these, but my fam liked them. I won't be making them again. The mushroom soup kind is a lot better.

Slow Cooker Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2007
Kind of blah. For all of the extra calories that the cream cheese and sour cream add, not much flavour. I won't be making these again.

Easy Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2007
Deeeelicious. The reviews helped... They only took about 6 - 7 minutes. Super easy prep. I didn't have to squash them, they flattened out just fine on their own. Possibly the best sugar cookie recipe I've ever used!

Easter Leftovers Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2007
This is okay, not great. A good way to use up extra ham. WAY too many potatoes... Even with extra garlic and an onion this came out kind of bland.
