Chicken Souvlaki Gyro Style

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2012
Excellent! Excellent! Excellent! I didn't have Greek seasoning, so I used what others suggested; a mixture of garlic and onion powders, oregano and basil. Other than that, made recipe as stated. So good! Will definitely make again.

Round Steak Sauerbraten

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2011
So good! I doubled the sauce and instead of 4 cups water I used 3-1/2 cups and 1/2 cup red wine. Other than that, I made exactly as is. It cooked a little longer just because I had to wait for my mother-in-law to arrive. Served it with Spaetzle. Everyone was licking their plates! Literally!

Asian Coconut Rice

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2011
Excellent! Made it exactly as the recipe states. Made it to accompany Asian Beef with Snow Peas from this site and that was an excellent pairing. Will definitely make again!

Asian Beef with Snow Peas

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2011
All I can say is WOW! We LOVED this! I couldn't find rice wine, so I used cooking sherry as other people suggested and it was excellent. I made 4 times the sauce just so we would have extra for rice. I made it with Asian Coconut Rice from this site and that was a FANTASTIC pairing! Added some water chestnuts and broccoli too which really soaked up the sauce. The cooking time was right on! Super easy! Super quick! Super Good! I cannot wait to make again.

Roasted Garlic Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2011
Very strong flavor...not only of garlic but of leeks. I made exactly as written. Since it was such an overpowering taste, it was hard to really enjoy. We will not be making this again.

Bacon Risotto

Very Good! I used 4-1/2 cups broth and 1/2 cup white wine. Also added some freshly shredded asiago cheese as I had some on hand. Will definitely make again.

Grilled Tuna Steaks with Grape and Caper Salsa

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2011
Excellent! I couldn't find tuna steaks, so against my better judgement, I used frozen cod. Believe it or not, it was just as excellent! So worried about the combination of grapes and capers, but it really works! Will make again.

Awesome Spicy Beef Kabobs OR Haitian Voodoo Sticks

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2011
These were excellent. I cheated and used already pre-cubed stew meat. I also didn't add the extra salt and used about 3/4 the amount of cayenne pepper called for and it was plenty spicy! It was raining, so we put the skewers on the Foreman Grill and cooked for between 4-6 minutes. One thing to note is not to push the meat too close together if cooking on the Foreman. Those that were too close together were still very rare. Will definitely make again.

Asiago Sun-Dried Tomato Pasta

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2011
Based on the other reviews, I was expecting this "one of a kind" fantastic dish. It was good. But not worth all the calories or the amount of time spent to prepare it or the expense. It was missing something...not sure what. I was pretty disappointed.

Cilantro Egg Salad

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2011
Loved it! Used less mayo and subbed red onion for the mushrooms as I don't like mushrooms. Ate it on a croissant. Excellent...will definitely make again!

Country Apple Dumplings

This was so easy to make and it was really good. I too used half the butter and sugar and that was plenty. Will make again!

Balsamic Bruschetta

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2011
Excellent. I used 2- 14 oz cans of diced tomatoes instead of 8 roma tomatoes. Added about 1/4 cup of chopped red onion too. Everyone loved it. No one could believe that I used canned tomatoes either! Excellent! I sprayed olive oil cooking spray on french bread and sprinkled it with garlic powder. I put the bruschetta mix in a bowl and surrounded the bowl with the toasted french bread so that people could put on as much tomatoes as they wanted. Will definitely make again!

Adobo Herb Salsa

Excellent! I love the adobo addition! Adds such a great flavor. I didn't have fresh tarragon and so I used dried instead. I would definitely recommend this!

Grilled Halibut Steaks

Excellent! Everyone raved about it. I made it with salmon and I didn't have dried minced onion so I just used onion powder. It was very good!

Creamy Chocolate Crescents

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2011
We thought these were fantastic. I scaled the recipe to use only one package of crescent rolls since we were making these for just three people. All of us loved it! Definitely not the neatest things to eat, but they were super tasty! Will definitely make again!

Fabulous Roasted Cauliflower Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2011
Very good! Only drawback is the roasting of the vegetables made the whole house stink like garlic! While not a bad smell, it's definitely overpowering. Regardless, soup was excellent.

Crazy Good Stuffing and Baked Chops

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2011
Not impressed. So sorry to say this, Pam. I'm not sure why this has all the rave reviews. The pork had no flavor (should have guessed this considering it's not seasoned at all) and the whole meal tasted like, box/bag stuffing with flavorless pork and cream of mushroom soup. To me, it was too much work when all I really had to do was make the 5 min. stuffing and throw some cream of mushroom soup on it and I'd get the same effect. Sorry!

Ham and Swiss Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2011
This was ok. I did use mushroom soup instead of mushrooms. Other than that everything was left the same. It wasn't bad, but I do not think we'll be making this again. Sorry.
