Homemade Black Bean Veggie Burgers

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2013
Soooo good. I have made this many times now. I do rinse and dry the beans, squeeze out all liquid from the pepper/onion (and use that liquid to mix with chia seed to make chia egg)and I add the corn from 1 cobb for texture. I bake them for 20 minutes, but no need to flip them. I especially like them chopped and put on top of greens for a taco salad.

Sean's Falafel and Cucumber Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2012
I've tried several versions, but this one is by far the best. The only changes I made was to use leeks instead of onion, and I used less bread crumbs. My Egyptian husband declared it "wonderful". Thank you for this special treat.

Fava Bean Breakfast Spread

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2012
I've tried so many recipes for Ful, and this one is the only one that my Egyptian husband declares wonderful. He eats it with my home made pita, hot from the oven.

I made these at Christmas for my dark chocolate loving husband. He loves them so much, that I am making the third double batch today. I dip the truffles in melted dark chocolate. Thank you for a delicous recipe.

Real Hummus

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2011
I've been making hummus for a long time, and this recipe is very authentic. For an even better flavor, try lime juice instead of the lemon. You also need 2 cloves of garlic, and use cumin instead of the black pepper.

This is the best guac that I ever tasted. I left out the tomatoes because I like it better that way. The cilantro gave ot a very fresh flavor. They were fighting over the last scoop!

Corned Beef and Cabbage II

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2010
I have made corn beef and cabbage every St. Patties Day for many years, and this year wanted to try a different recipe. I will never go back to my old one. This was simple, and the taste was amazing. I started it on the stove, and after 3 hours, transferred the meat with just a ladle of juice into a crockpot, then started to boil the carrots in the remainder of the juice for 15 minuted, then added the potatoes, and lastly the cabbage. Then added all to the crockpot, just to keep warm till ready to eat. You gotta try this!
