Willard Family German Chocolate Cake

Great cake. Made it for my husband on our anniversary. I substituted some of the boiling water with some coffee. I would strain the frosting mixture over a colander in case you accidentally cook some of the egg (like I did).

Fresh Asparagus Soup

This soup is wonderful. I just used regular milk. Also, I suppose if the stringiness from the soup bothers you, you could use a food mill to blend it.

Pear and Blue Cheese Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2009
Great salad! I used a green onion instead of the red since that what I had. I subsituted nonfat Greek yogurt for the mayo and the dressing was wonderful. I cooked my pecans in a pan, sprinkled some sugar and poured some maple syrup to make the candied pecans. Yum!! Ate this salad two days in a row.

Quick Greek Pasta Salad with Steak

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2008
I've made this twice now. My husband and I really enjoy it. I never had the sunflower seeds and I don't really think the recipe needs it. I added pine nuts the second time, but I don't think that was necessary either. One note, the leftovers as not as good as when it's made fresh, but that might be because I microwave it. I'll have to try eating it leftover cold. All in all, great recipe!

Grilled Cilantro Salmon

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2007
Well, I didn't have all the honey necessary so I had to substitute some maple syrup and that seemed to work okay. I made the sauce for salmon and tilapia. It tasted MUCH better on the salmon, DO NOT TRY with tilapia.

Angel Chicken Pasta

Reviewed: Jun. 14, 2007
This recipe tasted good, but there was so much sodium from the indgredients I could taste it. I could taste that the ingredients were packaged. Yes, the recipe was easy. And for the amount of time spent it was not bad. But I don't think I would serve this for guests. I could impress them more with something else.
