I added a half cup of vanilla greek yogurt and made these into freezer pops. We all loved them.

Vegetarian Bodacious Broccoli Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2013
I followed the recipe exact, only using REAL bacon bits because I don't ordinarily keep vegetarian bacon on hand and omitting the sugar because we don't care for sweet salads. This is one of the best broccoli salads we have had in a long time. I especially loved the combination of broccoli and cauliflower and there was just enough of everything (bacon, cheese, dressing) without being overwhelming. GREAT salad!

Slow Cooker Bar-B-Q Party Mix

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2013
I only made one change--I used vegetable oil instead of butter. I chose to bake this in the oven instead of use my crockpot. Baked at 250*, I let this bake for an hour, stirring every fifteen minutes. I did not try this myself but the kids RAVED about it. They ate half a batch in one sitting!

I cut this recipe back by half and used vanilla greek yogurt. My oldest and I liked it alright but the youngest REALLY liked it.

No-Fuss Lasagna by Johnsonville®

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2013
When I sauteed the sausage, I threw in a chopped onion and a good amount fresh minced garlic. I also added italian seasoning to the sauce. I chose to use "trim" cottage cheese instead of ricotta but I added 1/3 cup of Kraft parmesan cheese to thicken it up a bit (cottage cheese is quite a bit runnier than ricotta). I did also use a few more lasagna noodles in this recipe. Very simple lasagna recipe that was easy on the wallet. All three of my men had seconds.

Breakfast Blueberry Sauce

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2013
I cut the water back by a teaspoon and added in a teaspoon of pure vanilla extract. My sauce was a little runny, next time I would cut the water back a little for a thicker sauce. I made this to go over a copycat recipe of Denny's french toast--the kids are still talking about it.

KRAFT RECIPE MAKERS Tex-Mex Scramble

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2013
I did not have the recipe maker's chicken fajita filling that the recipe asked for BUT I did have leftover salsa chicken from earlier in the week that I used instead along with a little homemade salsa. I just threw in a tablespoon of homemade fajita seasoning when I added in the salsa. I did cut the eggs in this recipe by half. My kids and I really enjoyed this. NO leftovers.

Blueberry Banana Milkshake

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2013
Four and a half stars. I used homemade vanilla greek frozen yogurt and cut the milk back for a thicker milkshake. This was a little on the sweet side, I think because my banana was really quite ripe. Next time I make this, I will omit the sugar all together. Kids and I enjoyed this very much.

Buffalo Ranch Chicken and Cheese Dip

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2013
Instead of using prepared ranch dressing, I increased the amount of sour cream and used a homemade dry ranch dressing mix. I did not try this myself but my boys RAVED about it. It lasted about 15 minutes, then it was gone.

This can be made lighter with "free" whipped topping and sugar free pudding mix. Also great with sliced apples.

Easy Sausage Biscuit Bites

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2013
I made this into a breakfast food by using those fully cooked breakfast sausage links. I did not use the whole package of frozen links, just enough for a full container of whomp biscuits (eight sausage links). I didn't cut them either, I just folded them over like a little burrito. The kids ate all of them. EVERY SINGLE ONE. Huge hit here--apparently they want this again tomorrow.

Frito® Corn Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2013
Instead of Miracle Whip, I used a homemade low-calorie ranch dressing (which was made from half sour cream, half mayonnaise). I also added a good amount Frank's Hot Sauce. Interesting side salad for a mexican themed dinner. All four of us thought this would have been better made as a dip with Frito Scoops to eat with it instead of crushed chips inside.

Taco Queso Dip

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2013
I made the queso sauce, then added in leftover taco-seasoned meat from the day before. I did not try this myself but my husband and kids inhaled it, along with a whole huge bag of tortilla chips.

Easy Slow Cooker Pulled Pork

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2013
I followed this recipes exactly, only using homemade cajun seasoning. I made this into sandwiches (think italian beef sandwiches) topping each sandwich with shredded monterey jack cheese and pairing with a vegetable plate, seasoned french fries and a homemade ranch dipping sauce. The family inhaled it. This made enough for a huge dinner and two leftover sandwiches for my husband's lunch tomorrow.

Italian Meat Loaf

Reviewed: Aug. 5, 2013
I only made a little change on this recipe--I increased the italian seasoning considerably and I added a teaspoon each of onion and garlic powders. This turned out a dry, crumbly loaf that I was unable to serve as actual meat loaf. You can imagine how disappointed I was. I turned a minus into a plus and made it into a quick meat sauce with a homemade marinara. For future reviewers, if you want this to be a meat loaf, you may want to add more liquid or cut back the dry ingredients at least by half.

Almanzo's Fried Apples N Onions

Reviewed: Aug. 5, 2013
Beyond tickled that someone submitted this recipe--I have been a fan of Laura Ingalls books since I first started to read. I made this last night for a quick dinner. I used Granny Smith apples for a hint of tartness, used a little more butter, brown sugar and cinnamon (my apples and onion were a bit on the larger side) and served this with a quality cooked kielbasa. NO leftovers. We ate every single bite.

I used Whipped Cream flavored vodka and skipped the simple syrup. Very good cocktail--all the components work together perfectly.
