Candied Baked Beans

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2010
I wouldn't say it was awful but it wasn't wonderful either. I enjoy trying new things & that was why I tried this. I followed the recipe as is & it was ok. I'd make it again for a larger crowd just to get more opinions.

Moist Banana Muffins

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2009
I just made these and they are easy and delicious. I added nuts and chocolate chips. I followed the advice of mashing the bananas & mayo first, then added the dry ingredients. It was the perfect consistency. I also got 18 muffins out of the 12 muffin recipe.

I thought this was delicious. My husband enjoyed it too. The kids weren't thrilled at all. I'll probably make it again for a holiday.

Yummy Pikelets

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2008
These were ok but not fantastic. I cut the sugar in half but maybe I shouldn't have. They tasted very bland. I did take another reviewers suggestion and added some vanilla but they were still bland.

General Tsao's Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2008
This was good. It's my husband's favorite dish so I made it to surprise him. He enjoyed it. It wasn't too hard to make. I did cut back on the cornstarch like the other reviewers recommended. I also used flour to coat the chicken instead of cornstarch & I omitted the MSG. I served it with rice. Really good.

Pizza Dough I

My 11 year old son made his first pizza tonight & used this recipe for his crust. He did it all by himself, with me just supervising. It was AWESOME! We were all so proud of him & it was delicious, too. We didn't even have to fake it.

Captain Crunch Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2008
This was really good. I used Special K cereal instead of the Captain Crunch & I just ran the chicken under water before dipping it in the cereal. It came out good. My family loved it & it was really quite simple to make.

Potato Puff Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2008
I enjoyed making this side dish. It was so easy. I omitted the salt & the onion & it was very bland. I also added parmesan cheese before baking it. My children didn't like it very much so I probably won't make it again. It was a very good way to use up leftover mashed potatoes though.

Sloppy Joe Sandwiches

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2008
I normally use Manwich but I thought I'd try it this way for something different. I thought it was wonderful but I'm only giving it 4 stars becuz the rest of my family didn't. I would suggest to anyone making this to use less brown sugar than directed becuz it was very sweet but other than that, it was really good.

Easy Ice Cream Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2008
I just finished making this for my daughter's 6th birthday today. It was so easy & I just know it's going to be a hit tonight. I used most of the kids' easter candy for the chocolate & instead of sprinkling it on top, I put it in the middle on top of the hot fudge. I also used caramel in the middle in addition to the hot fudge. I put sprinkles on top & her candles will fit in there nicely. I think my guests will be impressed & it really was quite simple.

Chocolate Marshmallow Grahams

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2008
So easy to make! My 11 year old son made these by himself; I just stood by to supervise. We couldn't find the chocolate graham squares so we used Honey Maid sticks - chocolate & they were fantastic! An excellent treat with not alot of fuss! A great mom/kid project to do together!

City Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2008
YUMMY is all I have to say about this city chicken!! My son is a very picky eater & even he loved it! It was a huge hit in my family of 6! My youngest daughter is 22 months old & she ate it too! The only changes I made were using chicken instead of pork & baking it in the oven at 350 for 1 hour after I browned it on the stove. Also, I didn't put sticks in it, I just laid the chicken chunks in a 13 x 9 baking dish. Very delicious served with mashed potatoes & we used the drippings from the chicken to pour over the mashed potatoes.
