With less butter...it is great. I also used chicken broth instead of water. Otherwise...fast and delicious.

Hamburger Steak with Onions and Gravy

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2006
I just fried the burgers til almost done then added 2 cans of brown gravy along with the sauteed onions. No loss of flavor. Didnt need the sherry. Mushrooms are always a plus. Awesome, fast meal with mashed potatos and corn.

Homemade Tomato Sauce II

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2006
Very close to authentic Italian sauce, but you need to add lots of fresh basil and use ONLY olive oil. A tiny bit of sugar is needed to cut down the acidity.

Cranberry Chicken I

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2006
Just one envelope of onion mix will do. I also added some orange marmalade which really created a nice blend. I cut down the French Dressing (not crazy about it). Overall, pretty good

Excellent. Ranch dressing is so much better than French or Catalina. Easy and wow the chicken is so moist.

Easter Meat Pie

Excellent. Word of advice...do NOT add onions and garlic. Also, mozzarella cheese is not authentic in this recipe. Do not use bacon instead of prosciutto

Black Bean and Couscous Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2007
I made a few changes (which I know isnt really fair), but i left out the oil which wasnt needed, added fresh lemon instead of lime, a little vinegar, left out the green peppers and cilantro and used fresh parsely, cut up celery and red onion. Added some chipolte seasonings (in place of the cumin), a bit of garlic powder and onion powder. Really Good ! I forgot to add the corn :( All in all...a very good recipe. Thanks

Cabbage Soup II

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2007
I used vegetable broth instead of chicken. Substituted 1/2 cup lentils instead of barley (will use barley next time). Cut up the cabbage instead of shredding. Cut down on ham for calorie purposes. Very tasty.
