No Bake Cookies III

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2010
When I mixed everything together it looked like soup. I added another cup of oats and we were in business. I always keep my in the fridge for those that had hardening issues.

Tasty Lentil Tacos

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2008
This recipe looked so good but I was more in the mood for enchiladas. So I cooked the lentils as was stated in this recipe. I mixed them with a small can of refried beans, 1/4c of taco seasoning, and some water. I then wrapped them up in tortillas and topped with salsa and cheese. What a healthy and fiberfull dinner! Thank you so much for teaching me to cook lentils.

Pumpkin Dip

I only added some more of the spices and added cardamom. I served it with ginger snaps and a week later a friend said she found this recipe and took it to Thanksgiving. That is saying something.

San Francisco Sourdough Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2007
I used our own left over sour dough. I did not think to even deal with potato powder or so on. I made basic dough and forgot it. I used the recommended amount of starter and it was so good. It is like a bread beer because of all the extra fermentation.

Bean Soup With Kale

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2007
I did not blend anything because my husband has a hard time with soup due to texture. I did 3c. of stock and a can of diced tomatoes with all the juice. I really liked it and will make again.

I added a dash of salt, vanilla, and cinnamon. I LOVED IT!! I also replaced some of the oats with wheat germ. It has not been a week and the double batch is almost gone.

Chicken Enchiladas II

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2007
I have made this 1/2 a dozen times and we just love it. I layer the items in the toritlla instead of mixing it all together, other than that nothing different.

Homemade Summer Sausage

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2007
Wow! This is great. I refridgerated it for 24hrs. I cooked in foil with some holes on top, I will add some to the bottom next time. I baked until it reached 155 degrees. I love corn beef and this tasted just like it. So easy and such a great result.

No Bake Chocolate Oat Bars

Very good. I ran out of butter so I used 1/2 applesauce and thought they were great. Many good reviews from my co-workers. I have hated not having an oven but this came in handy.

Sloppy Joes II

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2007
My husband and I loved this recipe. We ate them up so fast that I had to make more to get us over the NEED to eat them. I ran out of ketchup and used BBQ and a little less broan sugare, probably better then the original way.

Easy Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2007
My husband and I loved this. I spend so much time making ice cream because it calls for eggs and all that means is a lot of time. This is so good for being so easy. The first time I made mint chip with skim milk. It was good. Today I made peach with almond extract with 2%. Amazing, simple put. Update: Just 2 tsp of vanilla or 1 1/2 tsp of vanilla with 1 tsp. of cinnamon is also great.
