Pistachio Fudge

I gave this 4 stars because the flavor is great-especially for pistachio lovers. However, I had texture problems-which were probably my own fault. I'm not familiar with "candy coating" or where to get it- so I used 8oz vanilla chips, thinking it was close to the same thing. My candy has more the texture of divinity, but I am still enjoying it.

Strawberry Blue Cheese Salad

I was a little disappointed in this, as I have had similar salads that were fabulous. This one was missing something. I did add sugared walnuts which worked well. I gave it a "4" because I didn't use the highest quality of cheese, so maybe that would make a difference? Anyway, I will keep tweaking this one.

Greek Honey Cake

This was great. I didn't have enough honey, so I substituted 1/2 cup light karo syrup, and reduced the amount of water to 1/3 cup. I found the flavor to be just perfect, as it didn't have an overwhelming honey taste.It was nice and delicate, and I will make it again (and again) with these small adjustments. Thanks for the recipe!

Crispy Barbequed Tofu Slices

I like the concept of this recipe, and it was good. I will say though that the tofu soaks up so much of the oil, it was kind of disturbing! I think that the dredging and frying didn't really result in a texture that was any better than the freeze/thaw/press/bake method of preparing tofu. I'll stick with that next time-makes it healthier and just as tasty!

Basil Cream Sauce

Sorry, we didn't really enjoy this. It was pretty bland. At the end, I added lemon juice and salt in an attempt to give it more flavor-still wouldn't make again. Loved the spring green color though!

Delicious, and makes a ton of rolls! I had a pan in my freezer for ages, and they came out great when we finally cooked them. Great on day one, and great later!

Sukhothai Pad Thai

This took me a long time to make the first time, but I got it down after making it a few times. Really great with peanut sauce. I agree that the vinegar could be reduced, but it's also good as is.
