I loved this chili! I omitted the jalapenos and used about 2 cups of chicken broth. Grated pepper jack on top and sprinkled with cilantro. Thank you!

Churros II

Reviewed: Jun. 2, 2010
These were delicious! My boys love churros and they said that these were awesome. I enjoyed them as well. The only changes I made were using butter and adding 1 tsp of vanilla to the water. I used a ziploc freezer bag with a star tip. I accidentally touched the bag to the pan, so it melted a hole in my bag. I ended up closing up my star tip and using the hole to pipe through. Worked fine. My star tip, wilton #30 seemed too small anywaya. I will probably look for a bigger one and make this again since it was such a hit. I am so glad I tried this recipe and not the one without eggs. Thank you for the recipe!

Perfect Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: May 22, 2010
This is an excellent recipe for children to make, with supervision. My two boys, 9 and 11, have been in charge of making this pie for about 2 years now. We always use a graham cracker crust. Turns out delicious.

Rempel Family Meatloaf

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2010
Absolutely delicious. Sifted out the onions from the soupmix and used only the onions as directed at a later comment by the submitter. Did not change anything else. My entire family loved this! Other meatloaf recipes were not successful. Thank you so much!

Chicken Cordon Bleu II

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2010
Just made last night. Absolutely delicious. Pounded the breast to even thickness, about 1/2 inch. Filled as directed, drenched in flour, browned on both sides for 7 minutes in cast iron skillet and finished cooking the chicken in 350 degree oven in 15-20 minutes. Removed chicken to a plate, kept warm. Added wine and bouillon to pan. Simmered for 3 minutes, then finished with the cream and let that thicken. Wow! I can not encourage you enough to try this recipe. I would feel so proud to serve this to family and company. Thank you so much for posting!!

Cedar Planked Salmon

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2008
I just made this last night and it was absolutely fantastic! I didn't have green onions so I used minced red onion. My in-laws were so impressed they wanted to have a plank to take home! Costco has them for $8 for a package of 6. The package on the plank states that if it's not too charred you can use is again after cleaning with warm water and letting it air dry. Also, to save time, planks can be presoaked and frozen. I can't encourage you enough to try this incredible recipe! Thank you for the post.

Potato and Egg Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2007
This is the first dish I ever made as a child growing up in Hungary. I also use kielbasa in the layers. I lightly salt each potato layer and then drizzle it with some of the butter and sourcream mixture. Then pour the left over sauce on top. This year it will be part of our Christmas morning breakfast. I'll prep the night before and bake while we're opening presents.

Burgundy Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2007
I rarely throw anything away, but this sauce went in the trash! The wine taste was too overpowering even though I used a good Cabernet. Will not make this again!

Pasta e Fagioli II

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2007
I loved this soup. I didn't have prosciutto so I didn't use it. I substituted 14 oz petite diced tomatoes and 3 T of tomato paste for the tomato juice. I used a can of cannelini beans. Everything else I followed. Heavenly. Thank you for the recipe!

Taqueria Style Tacos - Carne Asada

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2006
We live in So. California, with a huge mexican influence, and love this recipe! I've marinaded it many times for camping. I'll be making it for our traditional mexican feast this New Years Eve! This recipe is as good as, if not better than, any carne asada you can get at mexican grocery stores!! I always use flap meat from Costco and follow the directions exactly.

Feta Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2006
We really enjoyed this last night. Seasoned the chicken, after adding the feta and fresh basil I folded in half, secured with toothpicks. I brushed it with a mixture of mayo and plain yogurt. Rolled in breadcrumbs mixed with freshly grated parmesan. I followed a previous reviewer's advice and broiled it for the last 4 minutes. Thank you for a great recipe!
