Antipasto Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2008
I used ditalini pasta and diced everything to be the same size as the pasta. Added onion and garlic and used grape tomatoes but kept everything else the same. It does make a lot! We really enjoyed this!

Cream Puffs

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2004
Turned out great, I cooked them a little bit longer than stated. Also, I used white chocolate pudding mix instead of vanilla--it was rich and creamy. Very good recipe!

Chocolate Trifle

Made this with homemade brownies and real whipping cream and it was decadent. Have used crushed Heath bars and chopped snickers bars, both are excellent. Beautiful dessert!

Chicken Breasts Pierre

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2002
For anyone else who is nervous about trying this recipe--just try it, it's worth it! I really wasn't sure about the mixture of flavors, even with all the great reviews. But I had all the ingredients on hand so decided to try it. Used only two chicken breasts so I had a lot of extra sauce, it was delicious! We will definitely make this again, I'm so glad I tried it!!

Fruit Dip I

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2002
Addictive! Yummy...took this to a family BBQ as an appetizer, everyone just stood at the counter hovered over the bowl! It was great, light, not too sweet, we all loved it. Served with grapes and strawberries, can't wait for the honeydew and cantaloupe!

Hershey's ® Gridiron Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2002
Made for the Superbowl and was a big hit! Cake tasted great and everyone loved the decorating. Two things: The frosting doesn't come out the right color, more pastel but still okay and next time I will melt chocolate and pipe the goal posts because the twizzlers did not work. Still, a very fun and festive cake!

Bermuda Spinach Salad

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2002
Whoa...way to much onion in the dressing. That was all we could taste the whole meal. I will try it again using a couple tablespoons because the rest of the flavors seemed to balance well. Only used half the sugar. Liked the ingredients for the salad, definitely could serve to guests.

Cream Puff Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2001
Loved this! I was scared to make it as I've never made cream puffs before but it worked great. I followed the recipe exactly, next time I will use 8oz. whipped topping and chocolate frosting instead of syrup. Great recipe, thanks!

Mom's Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2001
Wonderful! Everyone who tried it said it was the Best or one of the best they've ever tasted. Great compliment for this newer cook. After the other reviews I made this in a 10-inch pie pan and it fit perfectly. Refrigerate overnight. Turned out beautifully! Thank you!

Sausage Gravy I

Wonderful! We used butter instead of bacon fat and used garlic salt for the salt. Prepare everything and then salt and pepper to taste. Turned out great over biscuits. Thanks!

Shrimp Linguine Alfredo

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2001
Very tasty and easy! I used one and-a-half cups half-and-half and next time will use two because it was a little dry. Used only 1 tsp of pepper and added salt to taste. Very good recipe, a "keeper". Thanks!

Exquisite Pizza Sauce

TOO SWEET! Even after trying to tone it down it was still way too sweet. The other flavors went well together but NO honey next time.

Best Peach Cobbler Ever

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2001
Not what I expected, very dissapointed. The peaches were mushy and the topping was not crisp and tasted bland. I'll keep looking for a peach cobbler. Thanks.

Great recipe! A little sweet for grown ups but kiddos love it. Maybe I'll add a little BBQ sauce next time for the adults. Overall, very easy and tasty!

Old Fashioned Coconut Cream Pie

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2001
This is excellent! Hubby has been asking for coconut cream pie so I searched and searched and decided on this one. I have never really had it so I had to wait for him to get home and let me know how it tasted. With the first bite, his eyes closed and he declared it a "keeper". This recipe is fail-proof, I followed it exactly. It's better the next day! Thanks Carol!

A Marinade To Die For

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2001
With all the good reviews I made this for company. Not a good idea. Luckily the flavor was saved by grilling in the BBQ. It was an interesting combination of flavors but just didn't quite work. I might try it again and play with the ingredients but as it is it is nothing special.

Lemon-Lime Cream Tart

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2001
Wonderful! Like key lime pie but without all the fat. No one knew it was low-fat! The crust is a little different, using egg-white instead of butter made it more crunchy but everyone approved. I just spread the whipped topping all over the top and grated a little lemon and lime zest to finish it off. Great presentation and tasted heavenly. Definite "keeper"!
