Pollo Mediterranean

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2009
This was a very tasty dish. I did not have wine on hand and used chicken broth instead. I agree that capers would be good in place of olives and you could even add artichokes (non marinated kind). I poured the whole thing over a box of farfalle and doubling the sauce would be good since the pasta soaked up a lot of the sauce. I will make this again! Thanks!

Very very tasty and such a great alternative to plain old green beans. You can use fresh, canned or frozen ingredients her which makes it even better!

Pork Tenderloin with Creamy Herb Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2008
I didn't have time to marinate the tenderloin and this recipe didn't call for that. Although I did not have carrots, I improvised with garlic and onion and it came out very good. My family all enjoyed it, including my picky 4 year old. This was a very easy recipe and came out very tasty. I paired it with smashed potatoes and green beans.

Balsamic-Glazed Salmon Fillets

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2008
Wow! I loved this dish. I am a huge fan of salmon and am always looking for new ways to make it and this has to be my current favorite!! There is not a lot of ingredients and it is easy to prepare. My only change was using dried oregano and not fresh since I didn't have fresh. I will definitely make this again. This is also a dish that I would feel comfortable making for guests.

WOW! This was great on chicken. You will not be disappointed. I marinated my chicken in it overnight. I did not marinate my vegetables though. I can't wait to make this again! Thanks!

Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2008
This was very good. I didn't add as much of the sauce as it called for because I only had 4 chicken breasts. And I did add some sliced onions. It was tasty and easy. Chicken in the crock pot is always soft/tender but never juicy. If you are expecting it to be juicy, you may be disappointed.

Soy-Sesame Dressing

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2008
This was really tasty. I put it over a salad of shredded lettuce, strips of cucumber, green and yellow pepper, onion, and chow mein noodles. I did make a change with the soy sauce. After reading the other reviews I added soy sauce to my liking which was about 2-3 tablespoons.

Hawaiian Chicken Kabobs

Reviewed: May 28, 2008
Very tasty. I would say you need to marinate longer than two hours, I did mine for 8 hours. The chicken was very flavorful. I did substitute the sherry with rice vinegar as another reviewer suggested and I happened to have it on hand. I will make this again.

The title of the recipe rang true for me. They were Number 1! You'd think that scrambled eggs are scrambled eggs no matter how they are cooked but this recipe makes them super yummy.

Easy meal and it tastes good too. These ingredients are items that you can have on hand in the refrigerator for a last minute meal when you don't really feel like cooking. You can add extras to this if you have them, its easy to adjust. Thanks!

Hawaiian Banana Nut Bread

Reviewed: May 2, 2008
I wish I wasn't in the minority here. All the ingredients for this bread sounded great to me but the final outcome was just "OK." It smelled heavenly while baking. My 3 yr old was so excited to eat it from the smell coming from the overn. It turned out very dense. I made the recipe exactly as written.

Clam Sauce with Linguine

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2008
I loved this recipe. I took another reviewers suggestion and added some Old Bay and a two dollops of sour cream. I added a small can of mushrooms and chopped them up as well. My husband liked this as well but would have preferred more clams in it (maybe a can or whole clams or real clams) but I am not a big clam fan. I did love the recipe with the chopped clams. So you can add some more clams if you like them, this recipe is easy to adapt.

Easy Slow Cooker French Dip

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2008
We loved this. And it could not be any easier! I let mine sit in the crock pot on low for 8 hours and I shredded the meat and let it soak back in the juices for a while. I took another's suggestion to use chuck roast and it came out great! I used american cheese since I was out of sliced mozzarella. My husband had his without cheese and thought it was delicious. Even my picky 3 year old who has a hard time trying new foods swiped mine off my plate! You definately have to toast your rolls!

Orzo with Parmesan and Basil

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2008
Great recipe as written and great recipe to tweak. I added sauteed spinach (a 5 oz. bag) and about 3 large mushrooms that I slivered up and sauteed with the spinach. I did use more chicken broth than called for because the orzo really soaked it up. I added an extra can (2 cups). It came out great and I will be making again.
