Chicken Savoy

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2008
This was sooo good. We took another reviews suggestion and put half of the chicken stock in the pan, added the chicken (we used boneless, skinless breast), seasoned it with extra everything, plus a dash of red pepper flake, and the balsamic. Halfway through cooking, we flipped the chicken and added the rest of the chicken stock, more seasoning, and MORE garlic, and red pepper and balsamic. The result was spectacular! The sauce leftover was thin, but super-tasty! Thanks for a new recipe that we will use again and again!

Double Tomato Bruschetta

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2008
This was amazing! Make lots- it's great to snack on for days. We used sliced mozzarella and followed the recipe exactly. I was really glad I splurged on the fresh basil- it really added to the flavor. YUM!

Hamburger Steak with Onions and Gravy

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2008
This was very good, but not amazing. I doubled the gravy and onions (as recommended by the other reviews) and added some mushrooms. I also added a pinch of red pepper flakes to the meat since my fiance loves them. I thought the dish turned out wonderful, and he loved it. It was an interesting change for hamburger meat. The four stars is because I thought it was just very good, not spectacular.

A Jerky Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2007
Extremely tasty! I didn't have any red wine vinegar, so I used two tbsp's of apple cider, and one tbsp of white zinfandel that was in the fridge. Also, I used two jalepenos instead of the one habanero pepper, and when I tasted the marinade I thought "wow this is going to be way too spicy." But after it marinated for an hour and a half, we cooked it on the grill and it turned out perfectly! Had a good amount of spice, and a hint of sweetness from the brown sugar. This was my first attempt at jerk chicken and it turned out great!

Grilled Fish Tacos with Chipotle-Lime Dressing

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2007
Let me start off by saying that the entire time I was eating this, I couldn't stop saying "oh my god this is sooo good!" It was amazing. We didn't deviate from the recipe much. Left out the adobo chipotle stuff because we didn't know what it was, and added a tablespoon or two of Cholula hot sauce instead. It had the perfect amount of spice. Also, we thought about substituting the lime for lemon juice (since that's what we had on hand), but I'm very glad we didn't because the lime flavor added a lot to the recipe! I did leave out the cilantro because I can't stand it. We only marinated for twenty minutes (instead of six hours, whew!) and it turned out perfectly! It was so good we even uploaded a picture of it, since this recipe definitely deserves a picture. =)

Brooklyn Girl's Penne Arrabiata

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2006
Awesome recipe! We were short a couple of the ingredients, so we just substituted and hoped for the best. It turned out terrific! Also we took the advice of a previous review and kept the chicken seperate until dinner was served in order to keep the breading crispy. The crushed red pepper added the perfect amount of flavor and spice!
