Sour Cream Sugar Cookies III

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2007
You are a god!!! I searched and searched to no avail to find a decent sugar cookie that didn't yield to 200 calories a piece. And I've found it, and they're delicious! Thank you!

Baked Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2006
I wouldn't listen to anyone who says this isn't low-cal - compared to other breads (250+ calories per slice), this is very reduced and still incredibily delicious. I took the advice of other reviews and added some vanilla. Mouth-watering! Smells grand. Will make again.

Ukrainian Borscht

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2006
This was very nice. I cut down on the salty flavour by simply adding chicken instead of a powder. It makes a nice, light soup, but filling - and very low in both fat and calories, while high in lean protein (with the chicken pieces substituted) and fibre, which is hard to come by in a recipe without heavily tweaking ingredients (and most times ruining the entire meal in doing so). I quite prefer this with chicken than sausage or beef, as most recipes ask for. Had it tonight with pyrogies and kielbasa... Even my incredibly picky sister gave it an "Mm!" when she tried a spoonful. Cheers!

Rosemary Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2006
I used this recipe to make my first dinner ever and it turned out pretty good. Nice and easy, but not enough flavour. I will make this again, but I think I might add more Cajun or something. I even let it sit in the oil/rosemary/seasoning in the fridge for a while before cooking it, but it still needed more flavour on the inside. Time to find a cooking syringe!

Coconut Rice

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2006
I loved this! I found the recipe didn't need any alterations; it had the nice taste I was looking for. HIGHLY recommend using this as a bed for some semi-spicy curry chicken, the mixture of flavour and texture is fabulous and authenthic!

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2006
Delicious! Thank-you to a reviewer for reminding me to get unsalted butter for this recipe, otherwise I would have used the salted stick from my fridge. I excluded the walnuts (not fond of them) and mixed the Chipits, using white and milk chocolate. They were simply decadent; this is going straight into the "keepers" book!
