Oaxacan Tacos

Reviewed: May 6, 2008
Made this last night, the only thing I added was to also serve fresh avocado. Family really enjoyed them. I put out sour cream and cheese, but nobody used it. All the fresh ingredients really make the dish. Simple, fresh and easy to make.

Wine Fondue

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2008
Awsome, would make this again in a heartbeat! we did shimp and scallops and a variety of fresh veggies (mushrooms, peppers, snap peas scallions). It got even better as the wine cooked down, more intense flavor. I did need to double it to get the volume for the fondue pot. Be sure to use wine you would want to drink.

Quick Greek Pasta Salad with Steak

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2008
excellen! We love pasta and we love steak in our family. This is a great blend of both. I love to cook, but don't have the time. This is easy but tastes like I spent the time. Even my very picky teenager eats this, (she picks out the olives).

Greek Chicken Pasta

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2007
Tried this last night. Followed many of the suggestions. Added good olives, marinade from the Artichokes and canned diced tomatoes with their juice. It was just ok. My husband liked it better than I or it would have been just two stars. I would add our taste buds are not americanized as one writer suggested. We enjoy all the individual flavors of the ingred in this dish, it just didn't come together as well as expected.

Beautiful Salad

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2007
I use this for special dinners. Easy to assemble at the last minute. Very little prep. My only comment is to go very light on the dressing or serve on the side. I think with the moisture from the oranges it gets too wet very quickly.

Warm Steak and Potato Salad

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2007
made this the first time a few months ago, great! Followed recipe as written except for making more dressing as suggested. Everyboy loves it. The flavors/textures/and temps went well together. Husband and teenager were sceptical, but both enjoyed. Will keep in my tried and true weeknight list.

Beef Tenderloin With Roasted Shallots

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2007
Wonderful! made this last year for xmas dinner, plan to do the same this year. Bought a 5lb Beef Tenderloin at Sam's club and had hubby trimed it to 3 & 2 lb sections. The only thing I change is not to add any additional salt. It is perfect. Don't blend the sauce! It is a sauce not a gravy, perfect as is. I serve this with crock pot garlic smashed potatoes from another site, asparagras or grean beans and Beautiful Salad also from this site. My whole family raves about this meal.

Antipasto Squares

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2007
I tried this last night and the best thing I can say about it, is it was really easy. I precooked the crust as suggested, so it wasn't soggy, it cut up nice. However, it was really bland. Served brown mustard on the side to spice it up. It was way too much fat and salt for very little favor. Will not make again.

Chicken Piccata II

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2007
Made this last night for the family. It was just OK. Served it over pasta. Followed a lot of the suggestions. Pounded the chicken thinker, and doubled dipped the flour, doubled the sauce, added capers etc. I did not cook the chicken in the sauce as I can imagine the breading trouble. I poured some sauce in the pasta and the rest over the platter of chicken. If I make it again, I'll have to play with it a little. To much work for too little flavor.

Chicken Avocado Pizza

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2006
I was looking for a different way to use up a couple of Avocados and this was it! My husband was sceptical, but loved it! I used extra celantro as the reviews suggested and probably more chees too. I forgot the cayane pepper and just used pepper flakes when serving. This is a keeper.
