Tuna Fish Pea Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2012
I agree with previous reviewers who suggest frozen peas in place of canned. Canned are too mushy -- the frozen ones add a nicer texture. I also add in a bit of minced onion. This is a great recipe/idea though. The peas really add something nice and a good change of pace from the standard celery in tuna salad! :)

Sauerkraut Soup I

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2012
Great recipe! Nice to have one that is vegetarian. (all the other ones I've seen for sauerkraut soup seem to contain meat!) Simple and good. I used rice in place of barley and sauteed FRESH mushrooms with the onion in butter instead of using dried mushrooms. Other than that, i followed the recipe as is... I really like this. It's a keeper and will make again. Thanks for posting.

Dev's Dorm Room Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2011
Great, simple and tasty. :) Perfect for the lazy cook or people with limited appliances. Save yourself a step and put the broccoli in with the pasta. Cook it all at once -- it saves time. (I also have done this recipe with frozen peas in place of broccoli and that works well too) Also, if you want some more protein, try adding in a can of drained tuna! It's just like tuna noodle casserole. Yum yum.

Good, Good Greenbeans

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2010
Great recipe. Simple and easy. It is very similar to my marinated bean salad recipe. This is definitely meant to be served cold so make ahead and put it in the fridge. I also prefer to use fresh mung bean sprouts as I find the canned too soggy and tinny tasting. The fresh ones add a nice crisp crunch to contrast with the softer canned beans. Really great. :) Try adding a pinch of celery salt to the vinegrette for an extra bit of flavour. Yum yum. :)

Great dipping sauce. I used this with fresh, chewy (dough) pretzels. So yummy!

this is a really good recipe. I used real crab and made these for company - they were a hit!

great simple recipe.. i like adding in a tiny pinch of ground nutmeg to mine though for a more authentic taste. (traditional swiss spatzel always has nutmeg in it!)

Roasted Chickpeas

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2006
Really, really tasty.. I added in a can of kidney beans the second time I made them and they turned out well too! So yummy and highly recommended. I found 450 to be too hot though... I used my convection oven set on 350 and roasted them for about 40 minutes and they came out perfect. :)
