Amazing Lemon Scones

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2013
I'm not the scone fan in the family, my husband is, but these are excellent!!! Only change I made was to use cream instead of milk because I wanted to use it up. Thanks so much for sharing.

Chicken Tinga Tostados

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2012
Wow, this is SO good! I halved most of the recipe, used four cloves of garlic and three chipolte peppers. Followed the rest of the recipe exactly, only omitted spreading the sour cream on the shell and plopped some on top instead. Will definitely make again! Thanks for sharing!

Double Orange Scones

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2012
We didn't care for the pieces of orange, but overall this is a wonderful recipe--would be good with so many different types of dried fruits. Will make again, substituting dried cranberries, blueberries, etc. for the orange pieces. Thanks for sharing!

Herb, Garlic and Bacon Pork Loin

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2012
Halved all ingredients since I had a 2-1/2 lb. pork loin. Baked for half the time as required in the recipe. The aroma while it was roasting was wonderful as was the finished dish! Will make again.

Pork Tenderloin with Dijon Marsala Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2011
Absolutely wonderful! I may never use another recipe for pork tenderloin. My hubby is not a pork fan; he said this is the best pork he's ever eaten. I browned the tenderloin coated in Dijon, salt and pepper, along with the shallots and two cloves of garlic. Then I added the wine and five sprigs of thyme and brought it to a simmer. Baked covered for about 1 hour. Add the mushrooms near the end. I removed the meat, keeping it warm, added half and half and finished as directed. So good! Only thing I will change next time is that I won't salt the meat. (An addition I made, but salty enough without added.) Thanks for sharing!

Thunderbird Stew

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2011
One of the best recipes I've gotten off of this site. Even my hubby, who is not a beef fan, loved this. Made exactly as directed in the oven, didn't need to double the gravy amount, plenty of delicious gravy. Thanks for sharing!

Juicy Watermelon Sorbet

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2011
Made this using the 1/3 cup simple syrup. Huge, huge hit with my husband. I still thought it was a little too sweet. Just an addition--I bought two large watermelons at the end of last summer, made the simple syrup and added the blended watermelon. Then I froze it in one quart containers (the same size as my ice cream machine). We were able to have watermelon sorbet in the middle of winter simply by thawing the mixture and placing it in the ice cream machine and preceding with the recipe as follows. Made my first batch for this summer today and my hubs is a very happy man.

Red Wine Pork

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2009
Wow! I made this tonight and we loved it! The only changes I made were to use four peeled whole carrots instead of diced and I added three tablespoons of fresh thyme. I threw in some fingerling potatoes halfway through the cooking time. This reminds me of a hunter chicken recipe that I've made for years. Thanks so much for sharing!! A definite keeper.

Skillet Pork Chops with Potatoes and Onion

Reviewed: Jul. 27, 2008
Wow! I made this for the first time tonight and it was fantastic! I did substitute chicken broth for the beef because I had run out of beef and didn't realize it until it was too late. I also garnished with fresh parsley. My husband said it was the best pork chop recipe he's ever had. Thanks so much for posting!

These are incredible! The only problem is that I should've doubled the batch. My daughter's friends were over and pretty much wiped them out. Thanks, Kathy. Will definetely be making again.
