Fudgy Brownies I

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2013
Turned out great. I cut the sugar a little bit to suit my preferences(and added a bit extra flour instead), so they were a little less fudgy and more cakey (but that was due to my changes). Even with the changes they were delicious :) I only baked for 30 minutes and they were done, any longer would have burnt.

Quick and Easy Pizza Crust

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2012
I Added baking powder to all purpose flour to make it more like bread flour. Also had to add a bit extra flour to stop the dough from sticking. Came out great though. I will definitely make again.

Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies III

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2012
This recipe was great! I used brown sugar instead of white, and used pumpkin pie spice instead of cinnamon. Also, I didn't add the milk. I baked them for 10 minutes as suggested in the recipe, and they tuned out delicious. Next time i will flatten them before putting them in the oven (because of their cakey texture, they did not flatten at all).

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2012
Loved the recipe. I served this over rice instead of in a pie (I had no pie crusts on hand), so it was more of a creamy chicken stew. Still tasty - I added poultry seasoning, celery salt and garlic to suit my taste and mixed the liquid with the rest of the ingredients. It thickened perfectly and tasted great.

Buttermilk Cinnamon Rolls

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2012
These came out great!! This recipe is everything I've been searching for. They're SO delicious, came out light and fluffy, don't require hours to rise, and didn't need eggs. What more could I ask for. OH - I did make 2 tiny changes though. I added 1 tablespoon of sugar to the yeast and water mixture at the beginning (to help the yeast proof), and I added more cinnamon to the sugar/butter filling. These changes are minor and should not have a huge effect on the recipe itself :)

I liked it very much! I was looking for an eggless recipe that was easily customizable. This turned out great - I added cinnamon and raisins :)

Good Old Fashioned Pancakes

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2012
Great recipe. Easy to change to your own liking. I found that I needed to add a bit more milk to my batter, but it was an easy fix. vanilla, nutmeg or cinnamon would all be great added to these, but are not necessary.

Ooey-Gooey Cinnamon Buns

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2012
Tasty but cooking time was too long. Next time I will shorten the cooking to 20 minutes. Aside from that, the flavour was very good.

Chocolate Cookie Buttercream Frosting

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2011
This worked as a good base, but needed some major tweaking. I added 4-5 tablespoons cocoa powder to add some chocolatey taste, and then added probably double the milk. I also mixed this with a hand blender to get it nice and fluffy (which isn't mentionned in the Directions). The recipe gave me an indication of how to make a good frosting, but ultimately I changed it so much that I was no longer following the directions given.

Thick-Style Lebanese Garlic Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2011
Perfect recipe! I took the suggestions of other reviewers, and added the lemon and oil alternatively, a bit at a time. This way I was able to get it exactly the way i like it. i think in the end I used less olive oil, and a tiny bit less vegetable oil than the recipe called for, but I think this is based on personal preference. Perfect recipe, this is exactly what I was looking for. Note: I also used about half the salt (I had to use plain table salt because it's all I had on hand).

Aunt Teen's Creamy Chocolate Fudge

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2009
I was missing a few ingredients, but they still turned out great! I replaced the marshmallow creme with a bag of marshmallows (minus a few) and the evaporated milk with plain 1% milk. They set up super quickly, and taste great! Not really 'fudgy', more just intense chocolate squares, but that's probably because of my modifications. I liked this recipe, and will try again with actual ingredients to see if they turn out more like fudge.

Gingerbread Folk

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2008
I didn't have any honey around, so I used corn syrup instead. I also added more ginger. They came out very well, but next time I'll add even more ginger (and maybe some ground cloves). Good, easy recipe!

Polenta

This was exactly what I was looking for. Just the basic directions for making polenta. Just add some tomato sauce, and away you go. Exactly the way my nonna makes it :)
