Jay's Signature Pizza Crust

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2008
It was very easy to make and tasted great. The outside crust was crispy and inside it was soft and a little chewy. I rolled the dough out on a pizza stone sprinkled with corn meal. My two year old had fun putting the toppings on and viola... 20 mins later -- pizza! yummy! Thanks for the recipe!

Beef Bourguignon I

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2008
This recipe didn't turn out as I had expected. It was good, but not "fantastic" as I was expecting especially given how long it took to prepare and cook. The meat was very tender and smelled great while it was cooking, but we weren't thrilled with the taste.

Holiday Chicken Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 1, 2008
Awesome! I could ate this as is and on crackers. I made it for my daughter's baptism and was asked for the recipe. The flavors went well together and I enjoyed the crunch of the celery and pecans. To save on time, I used a store bought rotisserie chicken. The breasts were enough for this recipe. I chose to hand shred the chicken versus chop as I prefer shredded chicken for crackers.

Super-Simple, Super-Spicy Mongolian Beef

Reviewed: Aug. 1, 2008
This was easy and quick -- just want I need! I substituted chopped red onion for the green onions since that was all I had. I didn't have peanut oil, so I used vegetable instead. The tablespoon of red pepper flakes was a bit too hot for us, so I will try it with half to 3/4 of the amount.

Gourmet Mushroom Risotto

This was awesome! Everyone raved about it. I did not have white wine on hand, so I used Marsala wine instead. I also added a little garlic powder as well while it cooked. It was soo... good!

Pepper Steak

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2007
This tasted great! The leftovers were even better the next day. I didn't use water chestnuts as I didn't have them on hand and I ended up using only half of a red pepper since that was all I had. But it was still yummy!

Restaurant-Style Buffalo Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2007
Change this up quite a bit to use what I had on hand. Instead of chicken wings, I used chicken thighs cut in strip. And instead of frying, I put them on a foil-lined pan sprayed with cooking spray and sprayed the top of the chicken as well. I baked at 450 turning once for 30 mins.

Eggplant Parmesan II

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2007
Ended up throwing more then half the dish out. My husband even requested that I don't make it again. That's a first! He's never had eggplant before, so maybe that had a part in it??? I thought it was okay the first night. I didn't like it at all the second day.

Annie's Fruit Salsa and Cinnamon Chips

Reviewed: May 31, 2007
No one seemed interested in eating the salsa which was disappointing because it was time consuming to dice the fruit. The cinnamon chips, however, were a hit and I will make those again. They were very easy. I sprayed each tortilla, cut them in triangles and threw them in a huge lidded container with the cinnamon sugar. With a couple of shakes, the triangles were coated with the mixture.
