Great recipe, Instead of 6 cups of water. I used 4 cups of chicken broth, 1 cup of water & 1 cup of tomato juice. I also added 1/1 a tsp of thyme. I also let it simmer for about an hour to ensure the vegetables got cooked.

Boilermaker Tailgate Chili

Awesome Chilli recipe. I followed the recipe to a T. The only changes I made was I added more chili powder, 1/2 a cup total and a cup of diced banana peppers. I like my chilli when it bites back. I also served it on a bed of basmati rice. Thanks for the recipe its a keeper. Its also true it does taste better the longer it sits.

Mexican Bean Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2009
Great Salad, the fresh cilantro really made the difference. I noticed alot of people mentioned to cut back on the vinegar & oil. I've made this a few times and I've noticed I really had to make sure the beans were properly drained if not there will be alot more liquid to your salad. Besides the mix of the beans with the vinegar tastes to good to cut back on

This turned out great, I folllowed the recipe to the T. The only things I changed was that I used fresh Parsley and 2 tblsp of fresh rosemary. I also used 3 cloves of garlic and substituted beef broth for the water. The red wine gave a great zest and kick. This stew awesome with fresh bread, went for seconds. Thank you for the recipe !!!

Very good, I made a few changes to it. I added 1/2 tspn of rosemary, 1/4 tsp of gralic salt and a little red wine and some onions to the broth. On medium heat until the onions became cooked, tossed in the meat for 3 minutes as suggested. Then placed the meat, cheese and onions on the rolls until the cheese melted. Very Good.

Chicken Cordon Bleu II

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2007
Excellent recipe !!! The only changes I made as someone suggested I added half a cup of fresh basil when starting the sauce near the end. I also for presentation purposes and ease to work with. Cut the chicken breasts in half instead of a meat pounder before placing the ham and cheese. It was much easier to work with this way. Very good and easy recipe, I made it for family and the cooks their asked for the recipe, thank you!

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2007
Such a simple recipe. This soup is great for those cold winter days and suprisngly filling with a little help with a baguette. The only changes I made was I used 2 cans of chicken broth instead of the powder. Left out the salt and added a bay leaf and carrots for color. Will definitely be making this again, Im had it for dinner last night and having more for lunch today. Thanks for the recipe !

Beef Stew VI

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2006
With other peoples suggestions floured the meat, used canned beef broth and doubled the spices and used with red wine. This was an awesome stew, I will definitely be making it again. My only "beef" was that it didn't freeze to well. I will omit the cornstarch next time and use flour maybe that will solve it. Thanks for the recipe !

Grandma's Meat Sauce

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2006
If your looking for the ultimate Meat Sauce, this is it!!! Its AWESOME !!!! I did make a few changes to it I used Hot Italian sausgaes instead of sweet, 1/2 tsp of thyme a dash of salt and used ground beef instead of the steak. I also like vegetables in my sauce so I added some onions, celery and mushrooms. I added 1/5 a cup of red wine near the last 15 minutes of cooking as well. Next time I might add a little sugar. It was great, this one is a keeper. Thank you!
