Baked Potato Soup

Reviewed: May 16, 2008
This was the best potato soup! A friend gave me a similar recipe, but this by far blows it away. Great flavor...absolutely 5 stars! I doubled the recipe and added about 2 TBS more flour. Whole family loved it. This will definately go into our monthly rotation. Thanks Kristi : )

Sarah's Applesauce

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2007
YUM!! I've never attempted to make my own applesauce before, but we were without, and my four year old was unhappy. I used 3 organic gala and 3 organic granny smith, 1 cup of water, and 1/4 cup of sugar. It was a little sweet, but had the BEST flavor. Thanks for the recipe.....we can't go back to store bought now : )

White Chocolate and Cranberry Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2007
I saw this recipe and knew that we'd love it. I basically doubled it....just used the Tollhouse recipe and subbed white chocolate chips and used a 6oz package of dried cranberries, which was all that I had on hand. I will use double the cranberries next time, or try fresh cranberries as another reviewer suggested. Delicious!! Thanks for the great idea....a very festive Christmas cookie : )

Hearty Ham Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2007
This was good. I doubled the recipe and put in a 9 X 13 pan. I did not double the corn....the one can was MORE than enough for our taste. I stirred 1/2 of the cheese into the white sauce, and sprinkled the other half over the last 10-15 minutes of baking. Thanks for the recipe : )

Pistachio Mallow Salad

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2007
I make this every year for Thanksgiving. I only use 8 oz of Cool Whip. I have never added the green food coloring, but I do garnish with mandarin oranges, and use either walnuts or pecans. Very pretty, and the oranges help to cut the sweetness of this dish.

Jay's Signature Pizza Crust

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2007
This was really good. My hubby loves a thick crust, so I decided to try to make one. So easy....I doubled the recipe and it made 2 LARGE pizzas and quite a few bread sticks. I sprinkled corn meal on the pizza stone and the pizzas turned out perfectly. I brushed the bread sticks with garlic butter, and sprinkled with parmesan cheese. YUM! I will follow previous reviewers' suggestions and add extra seasoning to the dough next time. Thanks for the recipe.

LOVE these! Just like I remember as a kid....only we called them Nighty Nights : ) I doubled this (left out the peanuts) and even made on a rainy day....they turned out great, but will make on a less humid day next time. Thanks for the recipe!

Biscuit Baking Mix

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2007
This turned out great. I never buy biscuit mix, but needed some for Crustless Cheese Quiche from this site. I scaled this recipe way down, and it worked well for the quiche. Thanks so much : )

Crustless Cheese Quiche

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2007
This was great! I altered a tad to use what I had on hand. Used the Biscuit Baking Mix from this site, subbed cubed ham for the bacon, added some cooked/cubed potatoes, and used a mix of mozzarella and colby jack cheese. Delish! I cut back the butter to 2 TBS, but I agree with SB....will skip altogether next time. I fixed this for dinner on a night that I had nothing defrosted.....there were no leftovers. My two teens and hubby devoured it. Thanks for the recipe : )

This was very flaky! I love how this turned out. It was so simple too....practically foolproof. The only change I will make in the future will be to double the salt. Thanks for the recipe!

Never-Ever-Fail Meringue

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2007
This turned out very well for me. I used it on top of a coconut cream pie. It cut perfectly, did not shrink or weep, and wasn't rubbery. Will use this from now on! Thanks for the recipe!

Coconut Cream Meringue Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2007
This was very good. My hubby's alltime favorite pie. This set up nicely and had great flavor/texture. I did use "Never ever fail meringue" from this site, as my meringue pies have been hit or miss lately. Thanks for the recipe!

One Minute Chocolate Icing

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2007
This is excellent! I was looking for an icing recipe that didn't call for confectioners sugar, (corn allergy) and this worked out great. I followed ROSEMC91's suggestion on not beating, cooling a few minutes, and pouring over cake. I halved the recipe and used on top of Wacky Cake VIII. I even used Rice Milk instead of regular milk, and this turned out BEAUTIFULLY! Love this....it's a keeper!

Delilah's Frosted Cut-Out Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2007
These turned out beautifully! Parchment paper is a must, and I too baked them at 350 for about 8-9 minutes. I've been searching for a recipe for the bakery frosted cookies that I remember from childhood. This is it! Frosting is perfect as written, and the cookies taste great! (I'm not even a sugar cookie fan) My kids love them. I even made a batch of the frosting for the gluten free cookies that I made for my youngest. I used rice milk instead of regular milk, and it still turned out PERFECTLY! Thank you so much for the recipe Delilah! Definately a keeper : )

Cinnamon Rolls II

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2007
These were really good. I think that these will replace my old standby cinnamon roll recipe. I too made the changes that previous reviewers suggested. I needed to add a little bit more flour, and used an 8oz package of cream cheese for the icing. I also let the dough rest/rise for about 10 minutes after kneading. I may let the rolls rise longer than an hour next time...they were still huge, but more dense and not as fluffy as I would have liked. Still, these were delicious, and my family LOVED them and couldn't stop raving : ) Thanks for the recipe!

Wacky Cake VIII

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2007
This was EXCELLENT! I used a gluten free flour blend and added 1 1/2 tsp. xanthan gum....perfect! I've been going crazy trying to come up with a tasty birthday cake recipe for my son with multiple food allergies....this was perfect! I used the One Minute Chocolate Icing recipe from this site, and the entire family loves it! I have also doubled this, put into a Wilton character pan (greased and floured) and had great results as well.

Cheese Garlic Biscuits II

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2007
These were excellent! I love the fact that no mix was needed....perfect as written. Only change I made was not using 1/4 cup of melted butter to brush on....I just used the rest of the stick after making the biscuits, so 3 TBS. My family devoured these....not one was left!
