Yummy & filling. Made the recipe even easier by using instant mashed potatoes and spiced it up by adding 4-5 dashes of Emeril's Original Essence spice. Will make again. Thanks!

Chicken and Stuffing Casserole

Quick, easy chicken dish + stuffing -- What more could you ask for?!? :) This was a great way to use defrosted chicken breasts 30 minutes before I wanted to serve dinner to my family. Yes, when you put it on the table it looks like a big pan of brown mush, but it is more of a quick, comfort food than anything. I used canned cranberries for a side, as one other reviewer kindly suggested and the flavors together reminded me of Thanksgiving. Kind of fattening and unattractive, but I would definitely make it again in a pinch.

Tuna Casserole I

A bit dry & bland - I had high hopes for this recipe b/c my grandmother used to make a potato chip casserole that I loved as a kid. Unfortunately, this wasn't as good as I had hoped/remembered. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that the people that like this most are kids! :) Thanks for the post.

Anniversary Chicken I

The first thing that came to my mind and my husband's when we tasted this was, "Midwest food" - Lots of food, with lots of sauce and kind of bland. My husband (who grew up in the midwest & is a bacon-bits lover)and I agreed that it was interesting because of the unusual mix of ingredients, but overall the meal had a lot of "goop" and was rather tasteless. We won't make it again, but obviously from the ratings, we're in the minority! Thanks for the post anyway!

Amazing Crab Shells

Skip the shells and serve this as a dip! I made this for Thanksgiving and put half of the mixture in jumbo pasta shells as suggested, and served the rest of the mixture as a dip, accompanied by salty crackers (I used Saltines.) When people arrived, they didn't really know what to make of the shells (Are they an appetizer or are they something for dinner?, Do we eat them with our fingers or with a plate & fork?), so they went for the easy choice - the dip. The dip went so fast, that I took the shells aside, scooped the mixture out and added it to my dip bowl. I knew it was good when my father, who despises the idea of imitation crab meat, kept going back for more, even after he was told what was in it. It's rather thick, but the flavor is fresh and the green celery and pink crab & shrimp, make it pretty and appetizing. I'm savoring the glory of bringing a "winning" dish and will make this for future potlucks! Thanks!

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

These cookies come out looking great! Very fluffy and inviting. They were very moist, which I like, but most of my family, after trying these, said that they prefer more of a crisp chocolate chip cookie. I thought the instant vanilla pudding was a good idea and added a nice flavor, although ~ and this may just be me,~ but I thought the dry pudding crystals made the cookies a little bit grainy (not necessarily bad, just something I noticed.) A good cookie overall. I would make them again just to try another pudding flavor.
