Excellent. My husband's idea of comfort food. (Mine, too!)

Sweet Dinner Rolls

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2010
Versitile dough recipe. Dinner rolls were outstanding. So were the breakfast rolls: mixed together brown sugar, granulated sugar, cinnamon then sprinkled mixture on dough before rolling. Right out of the oven glazed them with almond extract flavored icing and sprinkled with thinly sliced almonds. Yummy!

Baking Powder Biscuits I

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2009
Good biscuit recipe. One Sunday a month, I have the opportunity to bake for our Church family. For those who are cannot have sugar in their diet, I make these biscuits and add a cup of shredded cheddar cheese (in addition, sometimes I add 6 pieces of crispy, crumpled-up turkey bacon) to the dough. People seem to enjoy them.

Good Old Fashioned Pancakes

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2009
Follow the directions, don't over-mix, and you will have the fluffiest, tastiest pancakes you've ever made. Last time I made them I was out of milk; however, I had a can of a milk-based, vanilla-flavored weight-loss drink on hand. I used the drink in place of the milk. Sounds odd, I know; but, my goodness they were yummy.

Golden Sweet Cornbread

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2007
Wonderful recipe. I built a potluck main-dish around this cornbread recipe. Follow the recipe as directed. Pour 1/2 the batter in the bottom of the baking dish. Layer ground turkey, corn, grated cheese, olives, mild peppers, and sprinkle a bit (to your liking) of taco seasoning mix. Top with the remaining batter. And bake. (You may want to add a few more minutes to the baking time.) People were wanting to know who made the dish. Then, when I got back to my desk, there they were, e-mails asking for the recipe.

I served them to our church group. I love to sit back and watch what everyone fancies. Not only were their comments kind, but their delightful expressions spoke volumes. So many people enjoyed this cookie.....and for good reason, it is absolutely delicious!

Tortillas I

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2007
I thoroughly enjoyed making and eating these tortillas. I brushed garlic olive oil on top of the dough before it rested and, using a paper towel, moistened the cast-iron skillet before cooking the tortillas. Too, as suggested in other reviews, added a bit more salt. Yummmmm!
