Are you kidding me? These are great! I would give it five stars but I altered t slightly (reduced the sugar). They are SO good!!

Simple White Cake

It came out a little dense, but was completely eaten up - the whole cake! Think it would have been better with a chocolate frosting then the one I used.

The Best Lemon Bars

well, it was delicious. make sure the crust is completely cooled before adding the liquid top though or else you will come up with upside down lemon bars that I got! Well, they were delicious - I added a bunch for lemon too. Had they actually looked like they were supposed to, I would have added a nice dusting of powdered sugar on top.

Carrot Cake

Good cake. I reduced the oil and sugar, and added a little more carrot, as well, the other tablespoon of backing powder as suggested. I also used a different frosting using Neufachatel cheese. It was delicious. Thanks!

very good recipe. I used neufachatel cheese instead of cream though, and reduced the sugar by a half cup. Great on carrot cake!

Easy Decadent Truffles

really very good. I liked making small little delicate truffles. Also, I used high quality chocolate versus normal chocolate chips. overall good and they make great presents over the holidays. Thanks!

Creamy Potato and Leek Soup

great start, but I changed it around just a bit. I used small yukon potatoes, veggie broth, irish cream butter, and half and half instead of margarine. I also added more salt and pepper as suggested, and a dash of garlic salt. Put some chives on top for color, and delish! Thanks for the pointers and getting me started.

Chocolate Cookie Buttercream Frosting

this is a great standby frosting. so much better then the super proccessed store bought kind, and easy to alter for certain items. I added whipped cream and folded it in to make it a little lighter and used for a cake. it was a hit!

Best White Icing Ever

not a fan of shortening... tastes just like a safeway cake to me. it is good for decorating though and holds it form, and takes all color. just not a fan of the taste.
