Actually Delicious Turkey Burgers

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2007
Loved these! i only used 1.5lbs ground turkey though, added 1/4 chopped mushrooms, seasoning salt, worchestshire, soy suace, cayenne, and used panko bread crubs. THESE are so juicy! we made these into mini burgers which we ate with Hawaiian rolls, cheddar, and little chopped onions. yummy superbowl snacks. this would make an EXCELLENT turkey meatball for spaghettit. thanks for this great recipe and to everyone who made the little mods to better it

Deb's Scallops Florentine

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2007
these turned out great but it was a bit goopy. i added raw oysters and sauteed some sliced mushrooms in garlic to the mix. also added a bit of cream cheese and used shredded asiago and monterey jack (better flavor) and panko bread crumbs. ate this with a big hunk of warm crusty french bread. BF loved it, but will make smaller portions for the 2 of us in the future. this seems too rich to eat everyday so save it for a special occasion

Addictive Sweet Potato Burritos

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2007
my boyfriend and I loved these!! we used the black refried beans (low fat, check the can!) and these turned out perfect. we'll probably use the smaller tortillas and not the burrito ones bc they'd end up too big and with too much leftover tortilla. you have to of course grill these after you wrap them, the wrap is extra tasty toasted and grilling them just merges all the yummy filling to gether. thanks for the recipe

Spinach Stuffed Chicken Breast

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2006
Delicious! I mixed in some sweeet roasted red peppers into the stuffing and a bit of feta. My boyfriend complained of the 'sourness' of the stuffing but he said overall it was good. I marinated the chicken in milk and ranch dressing mix. and tossed in some whole cloves of garlic under the chicken so we could have roasted garlic with it.

Sophie's Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2006
i baked it for 47 minutes in a bundt pan, i added 1tsp allspice, used 1 cup light brown sugar and 1 cup white sugar, and white wheat flour instead of white flour. tasted delicious, next time maybe less white sugar bc i found it kinda too sweet, but the flavor mellowed out deliciously after a few days! great recipe!

Lemon Chiffon Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2006
i actually cut the recipe in half bc i didn't wanna eat too much cake and it came out great still. instead of lemon i used 1 tsp of vanilla and 1 tsp of almond extract. it rose well even divided into several ramekins. i ate it with some jam and and whipped cream. today i'll use some lemons when i make it. thanks for the great recipe

Aunt Mary's Eggplant Balls

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2006
This was great! I actually used 1 big eggplant, a handful of sliced mushrooms, and 1 whole cubed zucchini. i added a couple dashes of soy sauce and some Mrs. Dash. After it cooked, I mushed it all together with the back of a spoon. I added parmesiano regiano while they were still hot. Once it cooled i added 2 eggs and i used enough toasted french bread crumbs to be able to shape them without them falling apart (i didn't have dry breadcrumbs on hand). I formed them into balls and baked them in the oven! these taste wonderful, kept their shapesand my boyfriend loved them. he wants me to form them into patties next time for veggie burgers. hopefully these will freeze well :D thanks for sharing the recipe!

Tres Leches (Milk Cake)

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2006
My cake came out eggy and poundcake-ish. a very thick and nonporous texture. maybe i overbeated it. i'm pretty sure it'll keep it's shape though. i even left it soaking overnight and the center is sorta dry and i had to pour excess liquid out bc it was basically floating. overall taste was good but wasn't pleased with the texture. will try again but this time seperate eggs and beat egg whites and fold it in.
