I'm a wife, a mom, an optimist and a dreamer. I am a stay at home mom to a beautiful little girl named Clara. She's 17 months old. I take care of my 11 month old nephew and 6 month old niece during the week. I love cooking for my family!

I love to cook savory dishes. Crock pots are fun, appetizers are fun. I like to cook American comfort food.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Stuffed shells on Christmas! We get them ready ahead of time and then just pop them in the oven...who has time to cook on Christmas!?!
My cooking triumphs
Thanksgiving dinner for my family and my husband's family at our home. We both have three sisters, so with husbands, kids, grandparents, etc, I think we topped out at almost 30 people!
My cooking tragedies
I burn cookies. I'm definitely no the best baker ever! And one year at Thanksgiving I let the potatoes sit too long before mashing...they were a gluey mess!

Actually Delicious Turkey Burgers
They actually were delicious! My husband (who was VERY skeptical) thought they were great as well. I used seasoned salt instead of regular salt and added a few shakes of White Worcestershire Sauce. Topped with lettuce, tomato, onion and bacon. YUM! My 17 month old loved hers, too!

Chicken or Turkey Tetrazzini
Yummy! I scaled the recipe to four servings. I cut two chicken breasts into bite size pieces and sauteed them in olive oil until cooked through then removed them from the pan. I used the same pan for the onions and garlic and loosened all of the brown bits left from the chicken from the bottom of the pan. I added a half cup of milk as others suggested, used egg noodles and topped with cheese before baking instead of adding for the last two minutes. I also used more onion than called for because we love onions! Sprinkled with some bread crumbs before baking as well. It was creamy and delish! I was afraid it would have that canned soup taste, but it didn't. Pleasant suprise.

Italian Bread Bowls
I use this recipe every time I make a creamy soup like potato soup or beer cheese soup. I halve the recipe and put everything into the bread machine on the dough cycle. I then shape them and let them rise and then bake as directed. I completely skip the cornmeal and eggwash and we never miss it. Chewy and yummy!
