These were very fast to make and I didn't have much of a crumbling problem. They taste better after they mature a day or two.

Thin Mint Crackers

What a cool recipe. The reviews are true - they really taste just like the Girl Scout variety. I froze mine initially and put into a cookie container the following day. They seemed to hold their shape better that way; otherwise they become very melty in your hands very quickly. I used the 2-fork method as other cooks did.

Catherine's Spicy Chicken Soup

First, this recipe calls for WAY too much chicken. I used 3 breasts which I boiled and shredded and fed 8 people. This would have been too tomato-y with the can of whole tomatoes.. They're just not necessary with all the other tom's in this soup. Very delicious and not TOO spicy.

Pretty good but not the best I've had. I only used 2 eggs and we all found the soup quite eggy enough. I used chopped green onions rather than chives; that flavor is more appropriate to me...

Butter Bean Burgers

I fiddled w/ this recipe a little. I left out the shredded Cheddar & added a slice of Cheddar to the burgers of those who wanted cheese. I also added finely chopped green peppers to the mix, a can of garbonzo beans, and used bread crumbs rather than crackers so the burgers would stick better. Very good; thanks for the idea.

Whole Grain Waffles

Wowza, these are delicious. My husband usually requires butter on his waffles - not this time! What a healthy alternative. I had no germ on hand so I subbed additional flax/flour. I served with a strawberry puree...yum.

Yum. I used dried rather than fresh basil. BTW, if your bread is stale enough you don't really need to go through the trouble of baking the pieces. I used a very hard old french baguette and it made instant croutons when cut.

Easy Fusilli with Tomato Pesto Sauce

Very very good. I used the Pesto Sauce recipe from this site. I added more pesto than called for...like 1 cup. Without the addition I don't think the pasta would be very pesto-y.

Ruth's Grandma's Pie Crust

I try a different pie crust almost every time I make a pie and I loved this one. It's non-offensive (not too sweet, too bland, too shortening-y, etc) and it turns such a pretty color. It's nice to have the extra dough waiting in the freezer, also.

Pesto Sauce

My only problem w/ this recipe was finding such a large quantity of fresh basil. I had to cut the recipe to a third, which worked fine. It's DELICIOUS. I used it for the Easy Pasta Fusili recipe.

SO good & works just fine with light coconut milk. Make sure to simmer the tomatoes and milk with the sugar long enough or else it turns out a bit bitter.

Chicken Biryani

This was great; the cardamom offers a delicious and different flavor. The only change I made is using water rather than broth to cook the rice in; with all the spices it seems unneccessary and wasteful to use broth. I'll definitely make biryani again.
