Hot Ham and Cheese Sandwiches

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2011
These sandwiches tasted perfect! Simple and easy to make for a quick lunch or dinner. My husband didn't seem too thrilled with these, but I think he was wanting something more elaborate for dinner when he got home from work. Oh well, my three year old and I liked them a lot. I loved the flavor of the horseradish mustard/butter/onion mixture, I think it complemented the ham and Swiss very well. The onion flavor wasn't too overpowering and the horseradish gave the sandwich just enough of a kick to make it not just an ordinary sandwich. Thank you for sharing your recipe, Lois!

Slow Cooker Pulled Pork

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2011
For as simple as this recipe is, it is seriously amazing! Cooked on low for about 7 hours and served on hamburger buns. We will make again very soon (I'm hoping!) and what makes it even better is that this is such an inexpensive meal to make. Thank you so much for sharing!

Midwest Loose Meats

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2011
Yum, we liked these a lot! If you're from Wichita, KS, you will recognize these as Nu Way burgers. These are pretty much exactly like the restaurants sandwiches, which is exactly what I was hoping for. I think next time I will add onions to the ground beef mixture, but other than that, it was perfect. The only thing that I changed when I made it this time was cutting the recipe in half because there were only two adults and one small child eating. Thank you for the recipe!

Way Easy Pizza Sauce/Bread Stick Dip

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2011
So so easy and good! I doubt if I will ever buy pizza sauce again since this took only a couple of minutes to put together and tastes so much better than store bought sauce. It had a good garlic taste to it, but I thought the other spices could be stronger. Next time I might try doubling the oregano and parsley and see how that turns out. Still great though, no complaints, I just like to experiment. I doubled the recipe so I could use part of it for a pizza and the rest as a dipping sauce for breadsticks, and I thought it worked out great for both. Thank you for a nice, really simple sauce, Laguna!

Salsa Chicken Burrito Filling

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2011
Yum, yum, yum! This was a very good burrito recipe. Not too spicy, but it had a little bit of a kick to it that we enjoyed. I put all the ingredients in the slow cooker on high for about three hours, then shredded the chicken, and set it on low for one more hour. So easy! And I love that this uses ingredients that I normally already have on hand so there is virtually no planning that has to go into making this. I doubled the recipe so we could have leftovers, which I am glad that I did because it didn't seem to make a whole lot, and no one in my house is that big of an eater. I would say that doubling it makes about six burritos. Thank you for a great recipe that will be made again and again!

Greek Pasta Salad III

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2011
Fabulous! Took some time chopping all the veggies, but it was a great recipe. And it makes a lot! There was a nice blend with the olive oil and the vinegar, neither one really overpowered the other. Fun, colorful pasta salad to make for the summer when it's so hot outside. I forgot to add the Feta cheese at first, and only remembered after our first helpings were eaten, however, the second helpings were even better. Looking forward to leftovers of this tomorrow. Thank you for the wonderful recipe!

Zucchini and Corn Topped with Cheese

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2011
I don't think I have ever had a zucchini dish that I haven't liked, I just LOVE it! This recipe is great - easy to prepare and if you cut back on the cheese a little it's pretty healthy. To be honest, I didn't add all of the cheese, we added the amount we wanted after we dished up our individual servings. My three year old also loved it, and had two big helpings! Great recipe, thank you for sharing, Leelee!

Debdoozie's Blue Ribbon Chili

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2011
Great chili recipe! So simple to make for a weeknight dinner since there isn't much prep work. Followed the recipe exactly as written and it turned out perfect! A little on the spicy side, just to warn people that are sensitive to a lot of spice, but it tastes great. Thanks for sharing this recipe, Deb, my whole family loved it!

Lemon-Parsley Green Beans

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2014
We loved these green beans! Nice, light, flavorful, but mild enough that they would go with pretty much any entree. These had a great flavor that was refreshing with the lemon and garlic. I think next time I make these I might add some more parsley because I didn't feel like that flavor really came through with the lemon. I will make these again for sure. Thanks for the recipe, Rachel C!

Buttery Rolls

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2011
I didn't use a bread machine so I just mixed up all of the ingredients, kneaded for about 8 minutes, let rise for 45, divided into rolls, let sit for 15 minutes, and then baked. Turned out great! The dough didn't rise as much as I thought it would so I was a little concerned about how they would turn out, but they tasted fabulous. The rolls ended up rising quite a bit in the oven. These made nice, light, fluffy rolls that would be a perfect compliment to almost any meal. Thanks for the recipe, Debbie!

Sopapilla Cheesecake Dessert

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2011
Now this is what I call a little slice of heaven! So good and rich. And so insanely easy, which is the best part since I don't make very many desserts. I am glad that I found this recipe because it would be a good one to either serve to guests at our house or take if I am asked to bring a dessert somewhere. Everyone that had it tonight loved it and my mom asked for the recipe. The only change I made was I only put almond slices on half of the cheesecake and left the other half without - I wasn't sure if everyone liked almonds that I was going to be serving tonight so thought I would split it evenly. Thank you for this wonderful recipe!

Cottage Cheese Spinach Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2011
Great chicken recipe! I almost didn't make this dish tonight because we got home kind of late from running errands, and I thought this recipe would take a while to make since it's kind of "fancy". It is so simple and doesn't take much time at all. I think the prep time only took about 15 minutes or so and then popped it in the oven. I am so glad that I decided to make this recipe because it was loved by all. The only thing I changed was the baking temperature and time because I have found that this works perfect for getting a nice, juicy chicken without overbaking - 375 for 35 minutes. Works with every baked chicken dish I have ever made! I have seen a lot of reviewers say that they didn't use the Cajun spice mix because they thought it didn't go with the spinach/cottage cheese mixture, but it gives it a little kick along with the creaminess. Thank you for this wonderful dish that will be made again and again!

Italian Pinwheel Rolls

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2011
We thought these rolls were fantastic! The seasonings were great, gave it just enough of an Italian flare but none of the ingredients were overpowering. I am a bad roll cutter, I guess, because we got 15 rolls out of it. These were great and I will definitely make again because they were so easy to do, and I always have these ingredients on hand. Thank you for this wonderful recipe, Patricia!

Cauliflower Cheese Soup II

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2011
My whole family really liked this soup. It is very easy to prepare, and besides cutting up the vegetables doesn't take real long. The soup is very cheesy so if you don't like a lot of cheese, this one is probably not for you. I think I ended up cutting my potatoes too little because they seemed to kind of disappear in the soup and I didn't really notice them. This would be a good recipe to make if you have a lot of leftover veggies to use because any vegetable would be good in here. Thanks for this recipe, Missy!

Chicken Pesto a la Lisa

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2011
This is probably in my top 5 recipes that I have made from this site! So good and was loved by my whole family, everyone had seconds (or in the case of my 3 year old, thirds!) and I am looking forward to the leftovers for lunch tomorrow. I thought this tasted so good that it's almost restaurant quality. In fact, it surpassed my last visit to an Italian chain. Very quick to make so it's great for a weeknight meal without much fuss or chopping. Next time I make it I might leave out the feta cheese because we really couldn't taste it at all, not a complaint, just an observation and another way to save a little money. Thank you for this fantastic meal, Lisa!

Garlic Green Beans

An easy and quick way to make green beans! My husband liked them so much that he was eating them out of the pan while we were waiting for the rest of the meal to finish cooking. Great recipe, Howard!

Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies I

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2011
These chocolate cookies are awesome! I have been looking for a long time for a chocolate cookie that doesn't get completely flat and spread a whole lot when baked, and I finally found it! Great chocolate flavor, but isn't too sweet. I will be trying this cookie in numerous ways, with peanut butter chips, white chocolate chips, etc. Great recipe, Kathy, thanks for sharing!

Alyson's Broccoli Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2011
Great salad! I decided to use a different recipe for my broccoli salad tonight, and we really liked it. I thought the dressing tasted better in this salad than the other one, but I like the other one because it calls for shredded cheddar cheese. Easily fixed though - next time I will just add some cheese and I think it will be perfect! The only thing I changed was that I used turkey bacon instead of regular just because that is the only kind that I eat. That makes it a little healthier I guess. We wil definitely make this one again, thanks for the recipe!

Herbed Potato Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2011
This potato soup was delicious. Great flavor, great consistancy, and so easy. I loved that I could make this with ingredients that I always have in the house without making a special trip to the store. My husband, who doesn't usually like potato soups that well really liked this. The method was interesting too with the onions, butter, flour and the rest of the spices - loved it! I will make this soup often because it is a good one to make when you're out of time and can't get to the store. Thank you for this recipe, Jo.

Cobb Salad

Reviewed: May 10, 2011
I could seriously live off of this salad every day. So good!! I have had this salad numerous times at different restaurants, but had never actually made it myself. I am so glad I found this recipe though because now I can have my favorite salad that makes a ton for about half the price. I used turkey bacon since that is what we had here at the house, and the temperature was almost 100 degress (and it's only May!) so I didn't feel like cooking a hot chicken so we left that out. Delicious! Will make again when I get those Cobb salad cravings. Thanks for the recipe, Bill.
