Scalloped Potatoes and Onions

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2010
This was the first time that I have made scalloped potatoes, and it certainly did not disappoint. I liked that this recipe isn't weighed down with tons of calories from using cheese and other dairy. The potatoes turned out very creamy, and the baking time was perfect. Will make again for sure!

Irresistible Italian Corn

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2013
Very, very simple, quick, and cheap! My one year old loooved it; this is all he wanted to eat for his dinner. The rest of us really liked it, too. I think this side dish would go well with most any kind of meat entree, but tonight we had it with baked chicken, and they were great together. Thanks for the recipe, I will be making this again for a quick weeknight side dish.

Pizza Dough I

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2010
Oh, this was so easy! Usually when we've had home made pizza we've used a box mix, but I don't think I will ever do that again. I always have all of the ingredients here in the house and it's so quick there is no reason not to make pizza dough home made. This made a great, soft crust, which is how we like our pizza. Thank you for sharing this recipe with us!

Pennsylvania Coal Region Barbecue

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2010
We loved these, they tasted so good! With the vinegar and brown sugar it had a slight sweet/sour taste, which was delicious. Very easy and quick to prepare, and made with ingredients that I usually have around the house, and that makes it cheap too. Even better! Would be great to make on a busy weeknight because it's so quick. The only thing to point out is that it makes less than 8 servings. For us it makes about 6, and we're not big eaters either. Thanks for posting this recipe, Mollyspitcher.

A Good Easy Garlic Chicken

This chicken was very good and so easy to make. After the chicken was defrosted it took no time at all to cook so it would be great for a quick weeknight meal. Thank you for sharing, Julia!

Italian Sausage, Peppers, and Onions

Reviewed: Jul. 18, 2013
This recipe was really good! I made it following the recipe exactly, and it was great. My whole family really loved it, which doesn't happen all that much with my five year old and almost two year old. In fact, my two year old ate two helpings of this, which doesn't happen often with him. I will definitely be making this again. Thanks for the recipe!

Meatball Nirvana

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2010
These meatballs were wonderful for dinner tonight. These had a great taste, and were slightly on the spicy side. I think all of the spices meld together very well, and compliment the meat, but don't overpower it. The only thing that I changed was I used garlic powder instead of garlic salt...I thought I had some in the cabinet but couldn't find it. Oh well, you know how it goes. :o) Thanks you so much for sharing this recipe, Lovestohost! I will definitely make again.

Peppy's Pita Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2010
Oh, my goodness! These were so good! Definitely one of the best things that I have made from this site. I didn't make mine in the bread machine, did it by hand, and I kneaded it for about eight minutes. I wasn't sure how they would turn out because on the second rise it didn't go up very much, but once they were in the oven they got huge. It was awesome! My husband was very impressed with how well these turned out, and that is saying a lot. Will definitely make these again, and now there is no need to buy pita bread at the store, which is a nice feeling. Thank you so much for a wonderful recipe, Sandy!

Garlic and Artichoke Pizza

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2010
This pizza was delicious! My husband and I love artichokes so this was perfect for us, and the tomatoes and garlic add a great flavor along with it. Even my two year old, who doesn't like anything that doesn't have meat, ate about one and a half slices of this pizza. I think next time the only thing I would change is to add less cheese. It kind of overflowed a little onto the pizza stone so I think maybe half to three-quarters of the amount of cheese next time. Loved this recipes though, thank you for posting, Brandosgirl!

Pepperoni Caesar Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2012
Great recipe! Flavorful without being over powering, and so easy to make. My whole family love it, and it's going fast so I'm glad that I doubled it so that I can have some of the leftovers for lunch tomorrow. To make it a little healthier I used turkey pepperoni and light Caesar dressing. Thanks for sharing the recipe, Barbara, I will be making this again soon!

Egg Salad English Muffins

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2011
Oh, yum this was delicious egg salad! A few weeks ago I had an egg salad that was similar at a restaurant and I was looking on AR to see if I could find anything similar. I was in luck with this one! I love the addition of the bacon and cheese, something that my husband was not too sure about, however he ended up eating two sandwiches. So I think it went over all right. I did not have English muffins and our tiny store here does not carry them (strange, I know) so I just made them on regular sandwich bread and they turned out wonderful. Also added just a little more mustard, but they would have been perfectly fine without adding more also, just a personal preference. I can't wait to make these again sometime soon! Thanks, Deborah!

Beef Enchiladas II

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2011
We loved these enchiladas, and will definitely make again. Even my two year old ate these so we consider this a great success. I didn't change anything about this recipe and thought it was wonderful exactly the way the recipe stated. Thanks for sharing this recipe!

Garlic-Buttered Green Beans

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2010
These green beans were fantastic! My husband and I loved them, in fact he stated that, "These are the best green beans ever!". I love how the sauted mushrooms and butter mixed with the garlic and onion powder creates a really nice sauce for the beans. I get bored with plain old vegetable side dishes, so when I find one that makes eating them more interesting I make them often. This will be made quite often, especially since it is so easy! Thanks for posting this recipe, Adeline!

White Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2013
I made this today for a quick lunch when my four year old said he wanted pasta. It turned out perfectly, and was quite good. I did add a little salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning to spice it up a bit, otherwise it might have been a little bland. And to give it a cheesier flavor I added a little grated Parmesan cheese, too. Both of my boys ate it right up, and loved it. Because it is so easy and quick I will definitely be making this again since we always have these ingredients on hand. Thank you for sharing your recipe, CJO!

Veronica's Hot Spinach, Artichoke and Chile Dip

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2013
I made this recipe a couple of nights ago, and my husband and I thought it was great! I love regular spinach artichoke dip, but with the green chilies and jalopenos, it was even better. I was a little afraid the jalapenos would make it too spicy, but it was just the right amount of heat for me. Since there wasn't a lot of jalapenos or chilies it was a nice surprise of spice when you got a bite of them. I'm sure I will be making this again soon. Thank you for sharing the recipe, Wrightwood Girl!

Ham and Cheese Crescent Roll-Ups

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2010
I made these for lunch today, and my two year old son loved them! He ate two of them in about thirty seconds. My husband and I liked them pretty well too. I will have to try several different combinations to see how we like them the best. Will definitely make again since they were so easy and quick.

Pepperoni Stuffed Zucchini

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2010
This recipe was very good and easy! I did bake the hollowed out zucchinis for 20 minutes at 370 since I don't like biting into crunchy zucchini, but other than that I didn't change it at all. Since I baked it twice the shells came out nice and tender and the filling in it was simple and wonderful. My husband and I really liked it, but the two year old didn't so much...oh well, we'll have it again for sure! Thanks for sharing this recipe, Singingchef!

Cheddar-Thyme Flaky Biscuits

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2010
I successfully made cut-out biscuits! I really liked this recipe, followed the directions to a T and it worked beautifully. In the past, none of the cut-out biscuits ever turned out so obviously I am very excited that I got it this time. I loved the slightly sweet taste that the sugar gave to the biscuit. Not too sweet, but sweet enough to give it a slightly different taste. Thanks for a great recipe, Laura!

Sausage Scramble

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2010
There is nothing more that I like than having breakfast for dinner! This recipe was quick, easy, and tasty, and an added bonus was that my two year old ate it. I forgot to buy the frozen potatoes so I just chopped up two medium size potatoes and cooked them in a skillet before I added the sausage to soften them up a bit. Thanks for posting this recipe!
