Tortellini Soup

This recipe was good and very simple, which makes it a great weeknight meal when you don't have much time to prepare something more elaborate. The flavor was pretty good, but I could see how some people would think that it is bland, and the suggestions that some other reviewers have made would make this soup even better. I might try those next time I make this. My husband, my six year old, one year old, and I all liked it, and the only complaint was from my three year old. He ended up eating it though. Great, quick recipe. Thank you for sharing, Donna!

Persian Rice

This rice was wonderful! My whole family loved it, which doesn't happen real often. The spices and herbs give this dish a very flavorful and fresh taste. It's labeled as Persian Rice, but the flavor is mellow enough that it could be a side dish to pretty much any entree, and not just Mediterranean food. It sounds like I contradicted myself by saying that it's flavorful and mellow, but somehow, both of those words describe it perfectly. I will make this rice again very soon. Chili Con Queso Bites

We thought these were pretty good. Four out of five ate them in my family, so they went over fairly well. I was expecting them to have a little more flavor than they did though, so maybe I will add some cumin or some other spices next time.

Herbed Mushroom Spaghetti Sauce

This was pretty good, but not my favorite sauce that I have made. I'm not sure yet how I feel about the tomato soup in the recipe, because I thought maybe it gave it too much of a tomato taste. At first when I added the tomato soup I was really afraid that it was going to end up too watery, but after simmering for about an hour it was a good consistency. It's definitely not one to make if you need something fast because it does take a while for it to simmer down. I really liked the peppers in this recipe, and the mushrooms I will chop up in larger pieces next time because I didn't even notice that they were in the sauce since they cooked down a lot. I might try this one again in a few weeks and see how I feel about the taste of the soup in the sauce then. My boys all ate this really well, so that was nice. Thank you for the recipe, Anne!

Ultimate Green Beans

Great recipe, and something slightly different to do with green beans! My husband, my two oldest sons, and I all liked these really well. My one and a half year old kind of just picked at it, but he did end up trying a couple of bites. Since the majority of us liked the beans I will be making these again. The bacon added a great flavor, and the butter/lemon juice tasted wonderful. Thanks for the recipe, Eric!

Gravy Potatoes

This recipe turned out very good for us. It was an easy and inexpensive dish to make, which is always great. All three of my boys ate this without complaint, and that doesn't happen real often so I am sure I will make this again. The only thing that I did different from the original recipe was add chopped green pepper to it since I had some that needed to be used up, but this would not have changed the flavor much at all and it added some nice color. J's Horseradish Deviled Eggs

We thought this had way too much salt and mayonnaise in it. I made the mistake of not tasting the filling before putting them back into the egg whites or else I would have realized that these weren't going to be that great. I had one at dinner, my husband had two, and each of my boys had one, but we didn't really like the taste - too tangy and salty. So after dinner since we still had a lot left I took out the filling, added more mustard and horseradish to combat the mayonnaise taste, and added just a pinch or two of sugar to neutalize the saltiness. After all of that it tasted pretty good.

Joe's Special Scramble

This recipe was great! Very flavorful and great. I loved how the eggs are cooked at the end, and I think that is what makes this dish unique. I wasn't sure if my three boys would like it, but all of them ate it and asked for more. It took a while to chop up all of the veggies and cook the meat, but it was worth it. I will definitely make this one again! Thank you for sharing, JULIEP!

Lemon Cranberry Muffins

These went over very well for breakfasts this week. The lemon flavor was not too strong, which was perfect for us. Very easy and inexpensive to make, and they taste much better than making muffins from a box. I did use craisins instead of fresh cranberries, and since I don't like nuts in baked goods I left out the almonds. Great flavor! Thank you for the recipe, bobpiazza!

Pesto Pizza

My husband and I thought this pizza was great. Very flavorful, and quick since there wasn't anything that I had to cook prior to putting all the ingredients onto the pizza. This is one of the more expensive pizzas to make so this wouldn't be one that I would make on a regular basis, but as a treat every once in a while it's great! I loved the pesto as the sauce for something different instead of using a tomato based sauce. Thank you for the recipe, SKWms!

Lemon-Parsley Green Beans

We loved these green beans! Nice, light, flavorful, but mild enough that they would go with pretty much any entree. These had a great flavor that was refreshing with the lemon and garlic. I think next time I make these I might add some more parsley because I didn't feel like that flavor really came through with the lemon. I will make these again for sure. Adriel's Chinese Curry Chicken

This recipe was excellent! Probably one of my favorites that I have found on this site. Great taste, with a little spiciness, but not too hot. I knew the potatoes would take a lot longer to cook than the chicken, so I started the potatoes a lot earlier. Then I just added the chicken and the sauce to cook through after the potatoes were done. This tasted like a dish that I have had at a local restaurant here, so it definitely met our expectations. I will be making this again soon! Thank you for the recipe, BlondeCook!
