Buttermilk Pie IV

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2012
I made the recipe as stated with only one exception, I added nutmeg and cinnamon. I took it to a church potluck and it was a hit. I will certainly make it again.

Best Ever Banana Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2011
I tried this several times. This is a great recipe. I did use the suggestions of Georgia by using 1 c sugar, 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1 tsp vanilla and 1 tsp cinnamon. I covered the sides of the loaf with cinnamon and sugar mixture. I also topped with cinnamon and sugar mixture. This is a keeper.

As another reviewer stated these cookies are bland and don't have a strong flavor.

Pumpkin Cookies V

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2010
I usually don't eat pumpkin flavored items but once a year. I had a taste for something pumpkin and I tried this recipe. The cookies were really good. I used 1 1/4 teaspoons cinnamon and added some allspice and ground clove. After cooking the first two patches I realized I forgot to add the eggs! Even without them the cookies held their shape and were good. Oh yeah, I had to add more powdered sugar to the icing. I will be making these again.

Bake Sale Lemon Bars

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2010
I took these to work and everyone loved them. I will be making these again. I am giving the recipe a three but if you do the suggestions it is a 5+. I followed others suggestions and left the crust as is and baked on 350 oven 15-20 minutes until light golden brown, double the eggs and flour, 1 3/4 cup sugar, 3/4-1 cup lemon juice and 3-4 drops of yellow food coloring. Bake 20-30 minutes until golden brown. Update... I accidentally used 2 sticks of butter for the crust and it was not as good. Stick with the 1 3/4 cup of butter.

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2009
I tried these after someone suggested this recipe to use extra blueberries. I am not a huge fan of blueberry muffins but this recipe was really good. I followed the recipe exactly. I did end up with extra topping as suggested in previous reviews. They even tasted better the next day. I am huge fan and will be making this recipe again and again.

Grandma Minnie's Old Fashioned Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2006
I had been looking for a sugar cookie receipe that tasted great without icing and I have found it. I brought it to many pot lucks and it is always a hit. I do add a little more cream until the dough does not appear to be dry and I use sugar instead of flour to roll the cookies on. It gives them a great sparkled effect.
