Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2010
This is the ONE! After trying so many chocolate chip cookies, this is the one I make. The dough is yummy, and they always turn out great! They are also so good substituting one cup of flour for a cup of oatmeal!

Chocolate Scotcheroos

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2010
A family favorite and personal specialty! I ate these all the time when I was pregnant! My hubby jokes my daughter is made of scotcheroos. :) After making these many (MANY) times, here are my tips: 1. Make sure you boil the syrup and sugar just the right amount. About 30-45 seconds at full boil. Sugar should just dissolve. Less, and they won't stick together well, more and they'll be too hard. 2. It's best to mix the chocolate and butterscotch chips on a double boiler or something, but in a hurry, just pour them both on top of the rice krispies, and stick them in the microwave or oven for a bit to melt, then spread them with a spatula. Don't let them burn! This is the way Grandma always makes it. 3. My Aunt uses Milk chocolate chips, and people like that. (I like the butterscotch, though.) Just butterscotch is great for people who don't want or like chocolate. 4. These are great in both a 9x13 pan, and a jellyroll pan. It makes them thinner.

Sweet Dinner Rolls

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2010
These are the best! I make them all the time, and am now famous for them. I've given the recipe to tons of people! I use margarine IN the dough, but only BUTTER when rolling the dough. Very important. My breadmaker fits 1.5 times this recipe, so that's what I use. It makes the perfect amount to fill a large jelly roll pan with piping hot rolls!

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2010
We didn't like this. There was an overpowering onion taste, and the dumplings got very mushy. It also felt heavy. I followed the directions exactly...

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2010
Very good! I use chicken broth in place of beer, and cut the tomatoes to one can, since my family is not a big fan. I also replaced the onion with dried onion flakes, to make it more child friendly. Love serving it with sour cream, avocado, cheese and tortilla chips!

Very good! I make it with boneless, skinless chicken breasts and garlic mashed potatoes. My family really likes it. Now I just need to find a way to cook it faster...

Anniversary Chicken I

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2010
I actually didn't love it, and was surprised by all the high reviews. To me, it tasted so heavy and unhealthy, and almost had TOO much flavor from all of the competing flavorful ingredients. I won't be making it again.

Ultimate Twice Baked Potatoes

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2010
Very yummy. To shorten the prep time, I baked the potatoes for the first round in the microwave, and the second round for 20 minutes in the oven. It turned out great! I also used real bacon bits instead of bacon, left out the green onions, and added about 1/2 tsp of garlic powder to make it quicker. Turned out great!
