Banana Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2010
Wow! This is a keeper. I added a little vanilla and used Pam spray and a cinnamon sugar mix to coat the pan before baking. The bread is light and the banana taste really popped (3 over-ripe bananas). I do believe I found the recipe that is not too dense but doesn't lose the flavor. YUM!! Thank you!

Roasted Garlic Cauliflower

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2010
I ran out of gallon baggies, so I tossed cauliflower in bowl with garlic and olive oil. Otherwise, prepared as directed. This recipe is wonderful! I am sure I can play with the ingredients when I make again, but it is 5-star as is. Thank you for a new way to prepare cauliflower!

Sweet and Sour Sauce I

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2010
This recipe was so easy. I really liked the the ingredients were simple and I already had everything I needed. I tried one of the other reviewers advice (part brown/part white sugar) and more ketchup but ended up starting over and following recipe step by step. It turned out wonderful. Cook time was a little longer than 10 minutes, but the consistency was perfect and the flavor was very good. This one is a keeper (no more bottled for me!)

Flourless Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2009
Oh my goodness. I made just as the recipe called for and they were incedible. No muss no fuss. I will experiment next time but for a quick, easy cookie recipe, this is perfect. Thank you so much! My 17 year old kept sneaking into the kitchen for more! BTW... This recipe is perfect for 2-3 people with some left over for the next day (standard size cookies)

Easy Roasted Red Pepper Hummus

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2009
OMGosh this is so EASY and GOOD. I was out of basil (imagine!) so used marjoram. I used the juice from a 1/2 lemon. I cannot stress enough how EASY this is and... Good! Thank you thank you for a great recipe. Next time I will make a double batch and try to leave enough to chill. :)

Butternut Squash Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2009
This is a really good recipe. I cut the creme cheese in 1/2 and will probably cut a little more next time (but it still tasted wonderful). I also roasted the squash (brushed with olive oil, fresh roasted garlic, pepper, marjoram & cumin). I sauteed onion and red bell pepper (cut fine). Used hand blender and warmed. The consistency is fantastic. I will play with flavor a little more, but will definitely make again and again.

Best Lemonade Ever

Yum! I used 1 cup bakers sugar (still sweet, but not overpowering). The bakers sugar is my new favorite (ultra fine makes baking and blender recipes easy!). Thank you for the wonderful recipe.

Spinach Dip with Water Chestnuts

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2008
THANKS FOR SHARING. You saved my bacon!I prepared this recipe for Thanksgiving dinner appetizers and it was a huge hit! EASY! EASY! EASY! I followed the original recipe and took the advise of preparing the evening before. I tried to use only 3/4 cup mayo but ended up adding more the next morning (didn't affect the flavor a bit, just made it a little more creamy). I also "shredded" the spinach before I added it to the blend. I will be taking this to the Civil War party this Saturday (GO BEAVS). Served with vegtables, chips or bread this dip is a winner! Thanks for sharing!

Yummy Artichoke Dip

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2008
OK! I prepared this recipe for Thanksgiving dinner appetizers and it was a huge hit! So easy and so pretty when it comes out of the oven! I hated to have to put it in my serving bowl, but couldn't use a pie dish on the table. :) The only changes I made were using the 3 cheese mix (for convenience) and 3/4 cup mayo. I am taking this to the Civil War party this Saturday (GO BEAVS). Served with vegtables, chips or bread this dip is a winner! Thanks for sharing!

Tuna Noodle Casserole I

Great basic recipe. I also doubled up on the cheese sauce and added some feta and a three cheese mixture. Oh! I also added some clams and used frozen peas. A little garlic and ceyenne pepper and it was a huge hit. Thank you for a wonderful recipe.

Banana Banana Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2007
I have only made these as muffins and liked the consistency when I used less bananas but the taste was a little blah (more bananas = better taste but much heavier... Can I have both?). I will play with this recipe one or two more times to see if I can get the perfect banana bread as I don't feel I have given it a fair chance
