I have an amazing husband, a wonderful little boy named Solomon (born 3-9-08), a darling little girl named Shylah (born 8-31-09), and a third blessing due in January 2011. My children were born in my own home - an AMAZING experience!
I am extremely interested in health, and one of my favorite books is the Maker's Diet. I think EVERYONE should read this book!
I did work for a company that does healthy cooking shows in people's homes. I taught people how to prepare great-tasting, healthy food in half the time. It was a lot of fun. I now stay home full-time with my children.
My favorite things to cook
Anything healthy. I love experimenting and just throwing a bunch of things together. I am constantly in search of truly healthy recipes.
My cooking triumphs
Well, I love cooking for my in-laws. My mother-in-law is an AMAZING cook, so when she likes my food, that's when I feel the best about myself.
My cooking tragedies
The only thing I can think of was pretty bad... I threw my husband a party for his 21st birthday, and we had only been married for a month. He requested pizza of course, but he wanted frozen pizza instead of ordering it from a pizza place... Easy enough, right? In the middle of the party (with over 40 people in the house) as I was trying to get a pizza from the oven, I ended up pushing it off the back end of the rack onto the burner. It messed up that pizza and filled our house with smoke. It was pretty embarrassing because I didn't know anyone very well, and I didn't want them to think I didn't know how to cook because in actuality I LOVE cooking and am pretty good at it! I just grinned and beared it though. He still talks about how amazing it was that I threw that party for him and never mentions the pizza incident!
